I first bought the thicker matt flooring from this same company and realized I had paid almost twice the pice and wouldn't have enough to really be useful. I returned those and ended up buying these thinner matt tiles and honestly so happy I did. I honestly just wanted to cover and protect my ceramic tile floor where were were putting out weights and gym equipment. I got lucky and the covered most of the room (96 sq ft) and I had no need to cut and no big gap. They went together easily and seem solid and are still cushy enough to help your feet and protect the floor. Hope they stand up to use, but so far I'm super happy I took the chance on these. Nice, thick padding. Goes together puzzle-style very well, except not perfectly when you put the smooth end strips on (you'll wanna scissors off a bit of that when it comes to it). Product doesn't smell too bad -- hardly even smells, actually. Have been using it for aerobics, light weight lifting and would definitely finish the whole garage with it if I owned instead of rented. 4 stars for decent quality. Very easy to assemble. Husband and I put together in less than an hour. Used a box cutter to trim corner piece, very easy. Tip: use rubber mallet to secure pieces together, we used our hands/fists and felt it the next couple of days. Read more

A year later and we can still smell the off-gasing of the rubber used in these! They also did not fit with the existing mats we had. They are a slight bit smaller (by about 3 inches over an 8 foot stretch) than my other two sets of similar mats which made it so we could not connect them together.
