I ordered the Giatero Battery Pack Car Starter as a backup to a similar, older battery pack I have been carrying about for about 4 years. The timing couldn’t have been better because as I was charging the Giatero pack, my older unit failed to take a charge and is ready for retirement. The Giatero battery pack is well built and packaged small enough to easily go under the seat of either of my vehicles. It came nearly 70 percent charged so the initial charge-up was completed in under a half an hour. The unit incorporates 12V battery charging as well as serving as a USB battery pack to run other devices such as a phone, pad, or laptop. It’s the former rather than the latter functionality that makes this a “must-have” auto accessory. Most vehicles now have one or more USB ports so if your car battery is good, you have the USB recharging capability in your vehicle without this battery pack. On the other hand, if your car battery is dead, you got nothing without this battery pack. The unit also sports an integrated LED light which I’ve found extremely useful on my older unit over the years in and around the car. Additionally, it comes with a USB-C charging cable, a carrying case that everything fits nicely in to, and a pretty comprehensive user’s guide. I haven’t actually used this unit yet to jump start a vehicle as all my vehicle’s batteries are nearly new. I did have several occasions with my older unit which is comparable in power to the Giatero unit, to jump dead batteries to include an older model Chevy Yukon, which started no problem on the first attempt. Additionally, the Giatero comes with checks to ensure you have the jumper cables correctly positioned to ensure you don’t damage the battery or yourself—nice. Also, there is an easy-to-read LED display to show you the unit's charged level. My one concern with this pack is the jumper cables’ size. They seem a bit undersized to me, though in honesty, they’re not much smaller in diameter than my old unit’s. I’m just not sure how they’ll hold up under vehicle battery charging. That aside, I really like the size, quality, and functionality of the Giatero battery pack car battery charger overall. Considering my old unit is now no more and I consider a portable car charger a “must-have” on any road trip of more than a half an hour from my home, this was a timely and welcome order. Read more

Not only can it jump a battery, the flashlight function can flash in strobes, or SOS. It also has 2 USB ports, and one USC-C port for convenient charging of phones and tablets if you’re in a pickle and need to charge. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It is really easy to jump a dead or low battery. I’ve already used it on my own car - I just put the clamps on, plugged them into the charger, and started my car. It’s a must to have if you’re traveling, IMO. It can also give parents some peace of mind if given to their teen or young adult to keep in the car. No more getting caught off guard and trying to find someone, anyone, with jumper cables. And if a neighbor needs a jump, you can come to the rescue. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the charger needs to be at least 50% power to jump a battery. With that said, even jumping a car doesn’t deplete the charger battery much at all. It holds a charge for quite a long while. It’s just a good idea to check it now and then. It’s compact and will fit in most glove boxes. Powerful little jump start box battery pack. Made well, solid and easy to use. Works perfectly as advertised. Haven't had to use it to jump my car, but did use it to jump an backhoe and a golf cart and it worked! It needed to be charged after but that's expected. It's made for a one and done kind of deal but we actually got both jumped from one charge. Convenient to carry, I keep it in my car as a just in case kind of thing but will keep one around the house too for lawn mowers and such. Would definitely recommend Read more
