Customers find these sanding belts work well, with one noting they perform particularly well with Ryobi sanders, and appreciate their variety of grits and suitability for metal work.

1/2 x 18 Inch Zirconia Metal Grinding Sand Paper. I use this on a WEN 6307 Variable Speed Detailing File Sander with 1/2-by-18" Belt. These are the most durable long lasting sanding belts I have tried. I primarily use them on wood with occasional metal use. I do a lot of work on sanding wood that has been infused with structural epoxy for repairs and this is the only sanding belt that I have found that lasts a very long time and doesn't clog up. I use a small toothbrush sized wire brush to occasionally clean the belt during use rather than a se an "abrasive cleaning stick," which is essentially a rubberized stick that acts like a giant eraser, allowing you to gently run it against the moving sanding belt to remove debris and clogs while the sander is turned on. I use the rubberized stick sometimes but I find the small wire brush does a very good job at cleaning the belt and lasts much longer than the rubberized cleaning stick that is designed for cleaning sanding belts. I have lost a large portion of my vision, unrelated to this product, but am still able to do wood work repairs and just get very close to see what I am doing and these have been very helpful with cutting the time I spend sanding. Have to be careful not to catch an edge but if you use them carefully they do work for the cost. My premium belts work a lot better and last longer but cost 3-4 times more Read more
Great value compared to local prices. Nothing fancy, they are sanding belts. Have been using for about 2 months off and on and seem to be holding up well. Read more
Clean cut. Good belt materiall with even surfaces. Fits my sander easily. Dying to try it out. Gus Meyer Read more
These work pretty well in my small vertical belt sander. The zirconia grit lasts way longer than aluminum oxide grit. When I use it on aluminum, it helps a lot to rub an old candle onto the face of the sandpaper first to keep the grit from getting loaded up with aluminum. I use it on aluminum, steel, stainless steel, wood, and UHMW. Read more
These are fairly sharp cutting abrasive - they do cut metal ok and are fine on wood for a value belt. Where I think where the challenge comes is that these do work quite well at first and cut better than a lot of other belts and abrasives - some of which sell for a lot more - For a budget belt, these are ok - but the durability, especially on metal, is poor. Abrasive retention is on the weak side and even on hardwoods, belts don't last long. This might sound a bit harsh but I also use high end belts made specifically for metal and they last a lot longer - retain their abrasive a lot better - but cost significantly more than this multi-grit pack. I think these are actually a decent value - but a little confusing on what you will get - The listing said 1x30 three each of 40/60/80/120/150 What I got was 80/120/150/240/330/400 - which doesn't even appear to be a listed option - This was OK for my project as the finer belts were useful but wasn't a match to the listing I do keep these on hand because there are things you know are going to mess up a belt at any price - and these are perfect for that.
