1 2in Thick 48 Sq Ft Rubber Top High Density EVA Foam Exercise Gym Mats Non-Slip 12 Pcs

I like how this flooring has rubber on the top. Its padding is perfect and it’s thick. It doesn’t feel cheap like the other foam flooring that always come apart when you exercise on them. For this set up I used 30 tiles out of the 36. It was easy to install and all pieces fit nicely. Even the edges fit with no problem. In the picture and in person It looks like one big rubber floor mat. You can’t see where each mat connects with the other, which I like. I did measure and cut a couple of leftover mats to cover the flooring to fit in the odd corners and to fit from wall to wall. (See photos) You can cut the mat with a pair of scissors. It does take a couple minutes to cut the pieces. I didn’t find that to be a problem. There was a slight rubber smell, but that didn’t bother me whatsoever. I’ve smelled worse. One pair of new dumbbells that I purchased a while back had two to three times the smell of these mats and it took a few weeks for the smell to go away. Purchased these for a home gym in my garage and was not disappointed. Their thickness helps protect my garage floor while making it comfortable for myself and anyone else uses the home gym. So far, I’ve had zero issues with cleaning the surface as it’s coated and helps prevent messes from sweat or drinks spilled and reduces slipping since it’s textured. Do you have a home gym? Then this mat is so much better then the cheaper, thinner mats you find at local stores. I had cheaper mats which quickly became indented. I recently purchased a leg press/hack squat combo and was in the market for a solution for my basement gym floor. I knew the thin mats I had weren't going to cut it due to the weight of my equipment. Upgrading to the 1/2 inch mat was the best choice I made. I love the satisfying "click" or lock in sound when you put the mats together. To me it signifies it's in place well. It took a little maneuvering of changing middle and end pieces around at times. I ended up buying a few added packs because I decided I liked the mats so much and I even debated covering my whole basement floor with this. The mat didn't even have a weird odor. I did open the packs so they could air out a little before installing in case there would be any off-gassing. But, I didn't notice an issue. The only real negative for me was that if you have a corner there's no "end" for the corner so I had to leave off one edge. I have a homemade deadlift platform that I don't have mat under given how my basement is designed and how heavy the platform is. So, the corner around the platform I couldn't put on an edge since no edge will fit that spot. I also had one piece of the edge that had a defect. It was cut to 1/4 inch vs 1/2 which meant it didn't edge ok because that one spot dipped. I just switched it out which worked for me. But, those are the only minor issue. The best part is you don't see gaps between them locking in place like cheaper mats and I haven't had anything sliding. There's been no indents. It's comfy and cushioned to walk on even in socking feet. I'd buy this again. If your on the fence about ordering, don't be. You'll be glad you bought this mat and thickness over cheaper stuff especially if you do weightlifting and have heavier gym equiptment. Read more

I did my entire home gym with this flooring. It's very high quality, will bounce back from dents if heavy furniture is stored on it, doesn't tear or scuff easily, and when it's been in place a while the jigsaw pattern stops being visible. Love this flooring. Best cleaned with a vaccum as it has some traction so is hard to sweep or mop. Read more
