I recently ordered this dashcam as I needed one for my truck. It was very simple to install on the front windshield. I had thought about mounting it on the back window of my cab as a rear camera, but unfortunately it can't be mounted well on a vertical surface. The app was easy to install however it was lacking a bit in the functionality department, and there were no physical instructions included with the camera which made understanding what the hardware does a bit tricky, that coupled with the fact that part of the hardware is a secondary box that only has what I believe to be Chinese writing on it. So i've no idea what it does? The first thing I noticed was that it does loop recording and you can choose between 3 different segment lengths which is nice, however, If you are in an accident you need to remember to offload the footage as soon as you can, becuase if you don't after about a day it will overwrite itself. Which is not good if you were to be in a serious accident and you are hospitalized as the camera will just keep recording. It would be nice if it had some kind of collision detection, that would save the recording so that it would not be overwritten. The next thing is that it is supposed to have some kind of radar detection in case an object, vehicle, or person walks by your vehicle, even when you are not in your vehicle. There were no clear instructions on how to set this up, and out of the box it seems to detect everything and just keeps recording regardless. So I don't know if this feature is even working. When using the app it does have a tendency to disconnect quite often, which is a bit annoying. There is a secondary box that's attached to the camera, I have no idea what this does as it has switches on it that are in chinese, also I feel the unit gets in the way. I believe it may have something to do with the radar functionality. Overall, it's a nice cam and the output quality is good but not outstanding, this system would benefit from having a wider angle lens, and some documentation. This is a basic dash cam, which unfortunately lacks instructions thus making it complicated to use. It has an OBD adapter though my intention was use as my rear “dash” camera. The cord can be swapped with a hardwire cable easily, though you loose the radar function. Overall, it’s OK, but I’ve already replaced it with a better one. Read more

I will start out with the bad about this dashcam. The instructions didn't mention the box that plugs into the OBD2 port, which has switches and voltage settings with Chinese symbols. Actually the instructions do not mention anything other than about the app. I don't know what voltage it should be set on or what the second switch even does. I don't feel safe plugging this into my car's computer port, into pins that are straight voltage not even fused, so I just tossed the plug and used a regular USB cable to power it. I guess I lost the radar induction function, but I feel safer. The good is, I like this dashcam. It has a good, clear picture, lots of features, and is pretty simple to operate. The app was easy to download and set up. It has all the basic settings for a dashcam. When I turn the vehicle on, the camera starts recording. When I cut the vehicle off, the camera shuts down. The camera itself doesn't have buttons on it like many, where you can view and change settings on the camera itself. The camera just has a power button. All control of the camera must be done from the phone app. It does display a nice digital analog clock on the screen with the date while it is on, along with little icons of what is going on, like Wi-Fi, mic on, recording, etc. It is pretty simple and just does what it is supposed to do. This dashcam is a perfectly fine entry level device for those on a budget, looking for a simple dash cam solution. I would highly recommend to all drivers to pick up a dash cam to cover yourself in case of an accident. This specific device was easy to setup and works well! This is an overall decent dashcam with all the necessary features and an above average 2K resolution. The image quality is clear and crisp for both day and night driving. The set up was straightforward with the included video instructions. The included 32GB microSD card is nice but I'd recommend upgrading to 64GB for more footage. However, for a run-of-the-mill dashcam the price range of sub-$50 is quite premium when there are more reputable options on the market. Read more
