This bathroom sconce was very easy to install. It came with everything you needed for installation and was done quickly. I needed a smaller base as I have limited space in this bathroom so this worked perfectly. This uses a standard E26 base lightbulb. You can use either a regular or an LED lightbulb and this is not dimmable. I like the sleek look to the light fixture. The glass shade does let a lot of light out. Read more

I bought this single light with the black modern fixture and clear glass shade because I loved the look and thought it might work on my porch Unfortunately I realized pretty quickly that it is not made for outdoor use One good rainstorm and it would be ruined For indoors though this light is very stylish Installation was simple and straightforward and it gives a clean modern farmhouse look that works in a bathroom bedroom hallway or kitchen The brightness really depends on the type of bulb you choose which gives some flexibility if you want softer light or something brighter At 35 dollars it is a decent price for what it does though honestly I would have preferred it to be battery operated for this price since that would make it more versatile Still for indoor use it is a nice looking light that adds a lot of style to a space Read more

Design and Appearance This light fixture has a clean, understated design that works well with modern and transitional interiors. The matte black finish is smooth and consistent without being overly glossy, and it doesn't show fingerprints easily. The clear glass shade allows full visibility of the bulb, which is a design choice that fits well with exposed-filament or vintage-style bulbs, but it does mean the light source is visually prominent—something to consider depending on your preferences. The scale of the fixture is relatively compact, making it a good fit for small bathrooms, powder rooms, or even side lighting around a mirror or hallway console. It blends rather than draws attention, which some might see as a positive for minimalist settings. Light Output and Compatibility Because the shade is clear and fully open at the bottom, the fixture doesn’t limit brightness, but it also doesn’t diffuse it. The result is a fairly direct beam with visible glare depending on the bulb type. A frosted bulb or one with lower lumen output may help soften the light for certain uses. This setup doesn’t include dimming components, but it’s compatible with dimmable bulbs and switches if those are installed separately. While labeled as a bathroom light, this fixture is not moisture-sealed. In a well-ventilated space, it should be fine, but in bathrooms with high humidity or poor airflow, long-term durability near showers may be something to monitor. Installation Process The fixture arrives with standard mounting hardware and a basic instruction sheet. Installation is straightforward if you're replacing an existing wall sconce, though it may require a second set of hands during alignment depending on your wall surface and access to studs. The backplate is small and minimal, so surface imperfections or previous screw holes on the wall may remain visible after mounting unless patched. One note: the orientation is fixed—this design is intended for upright (glass-down) installation. If you're looking for something reversible or for an upward glow, this design doesn't allow for that. Material Quality The metal feels lightweight but not flimsy. It holds the shape and finish well, and the shade threads onto the fixture without wobbling or uneven gaps. There’s no included bulb, which isn’t unusual, but means you’ll need to select something appropriate for brightness and color temperature separately. The glass shade is fully transparent and free of noticeable defects, but being open-faced, it can collect dust or splashes easily—especially if installed near a sink or countertop. Cleaning it is simple, though, since the wide mouth of the shade allows easy access. Functional Use Cases This light is best used in focused or auxiliary roles: flanking a bathroom mirror, accenting a hallway, or as task lighting in a small space. In larger rooms or areas requiring diffuse ambient lighting, this wouldn’t be a primary source of illumination. It also works well when paired in multiples for a symmetrical setup—like on either side of a mirror or along a hallway wall. Bottom Line: This fixture has a neutral, versatile design that works in a variety of small-to-medium spaces. It’s clean-looking and compact, with direct light output that’s easy to control through bulb selection. The materials feel consistent with the price point, and while installation is manageable, the fixture doesn’t offer features like reversible orientation or moisture sealing. Best suited for targeted lighting areas where simplicity and a minimal footprint are the priorities. Read more
This light fits perfectly in our small powder room and it provides plenty of soft light. It is a huge upgrade from the fixture that was there when we bought our home, but no pics yet because we still have some work to do before the powder room will be camera ready. Installation was very straightforward and it feels very solid. I wasn't sure how nice it would be given the price point, but I am quite happy with how it looks and feels. Read more

Appears to be a decent light fixture. The ribbed, clear glass shade is thick and well made. The metal is not very robust but should work ok. The clear shade may require the use of a frosted or Edison type bulb to reduce glare. Well packaged. Everything needed for installation is included. The wire gauge used is very small (20 AWG), and the item itself does not have a North American certification sticker (such as UL, ETL or CSA) anywhere on it which concerns me, even though the Amazon product description says this is UL certified. Should be ok for low wattage bulbs, as long as 3-5 amps are not exceeded. I am not an electrician; however, I would be more comfortable with 18 AWG wire as it is the industry standard for most low wattage interior lamps. I would not exceed the 60W bulb recommended. 3-Stars for being attractive and acceptable but falling below my expectations. Read more
