I’m definitely the COOL parent!

R-Sora FloodJanuary 8, 2024

My 9yo is obsessed with Pokémon! One of his friends has a few of the Japanese print Pokémon cards and even though he didn’t ask, I could hear in his voice he really wanted some of his own. I don’t know anything about Pokémon, so when I asked him what they look like, he immediately ran next door to the neighbors house and asked his kid friend there if he could borrow the card to show me what they look like. So I see they’re the same as American Pokémon cards, just everything on the card is in Japanese. He also takes Japanese as a second language. Not mandatory for school but just because he wanted to learn. So I said why not?? How hard could finding Japanese print Pokémon cards be?? Well… apparently they’re not super hard, but also not super easy. Like walking into a game store here, you may not find them. I was also nervous about inauthentic cards. So I did a lot of researching and looking around and finally found them here on Amazon! The reviews seemed legit so I just went ahead and got them along with some other packs. The look and excited gasps and squeals were all the thank you I needed! I had put them in a sealed bubble bag and he had a really hard time opening it. Upon seeing what was inside with just the tiniest little bit of space in the opening ( I wish you could see it, he was getting impatient with how much he had to fight to under the bubbler ), as soon as he saw the shiny packet of Pokémon cards, he let out a loud huge gasp and proceeded to try and RIP the bubbler open at that point! Then SQUEALED with excitement as he opened the pack and he saw a shining charizard card in there. Just what he wanted he said. He has a special section for all his different charizard cards. I know the kids like to trade these cards but he said the cards I got him he’s never trading. He took pics of them to show his friends because he doesn’t want anyone to try and take the actual ones, but he still wanted to show his friends that now HE TOO has some Japanese Pokémon cards! Thank you! Read more

My daughter and I like the creative background design on the holos. Cool characters and all different is good. I think 3 is too many trainers for a pack of 10. Read more

Very exciting and authentic. Mine weren't resealed

SUPER cool personJanuary 5, 2024

After spending well over an hour browsing through pokemon card reviews from multiple different products, i decided to purchase two packs of japanese cards. Fortunately, I got real pokemon cards, and the advertised "10 per pack". The holo cards have a very pretty rainbow sheen. Unfortunately, with how big pokemon is, theres always a chance to get a pack thats been messed with, so there will be bad reviews on every poke-product, its just up to you to decide if you want to take the online gamble, or go purchase in person. Japanese cards are different from english cards, a few differences being: japanese cards are much smoother if you run your finger down one, and unlike the black middle sheet in english poke-cards, japanese cards have a blue sheet, the cards themselves are usually thinner than english cards. I ripped one of the lame cards and saw the blue sheet as you can see in one of the pictures, if that helps you to decide to purchase this product. I wish any buyer of these poke-cards goodluck with their pulls Read more
