I try to request things I can use in my classroom. This triangle was available in multiple sizes, and since most of the ones I have in my music collection are smaller, I ordered the 6" one. This triangle is a nice enough student instrument. It's similar in quality to instruments in class sets from Rhythm Band Inc. It's not a professional instrument, but for the price, it's a useful addition to a classroom collection. The holder is plastic and seems durable enough. This triangle does not have a drilled hole for a replacement holder. The striker is metal with a plastic handle. I'll likely buy more sizes of this triangle when I need more in the future. My daughter purchased this triangle to use in a small orchestra. Unfortunately, the quality makes it useful only as a child’s toy. The sound quality and tone are subpar, and the sound does not carry loud or long enough to be used in a real music ensemble of any size. Buyer beware: if you return, the seller charges return shipping that costs almost as much as the instrument itself! Read more

As a life long drummer, I thought this would be a fun cheap way to add a new sound to my percussion arsenal. Unfortunately it sounds like what it is, a cheap triangle. Good for kids or beginners, but not good enough to record with. Read more
