I built a set of barstools out of birdseye maple and picked up these nail-on felt pads to finish off the stools and protect my floors. They have been PERFECT. The stools glide beautifully across my hardwood floors but stay put when there's the slightest bit of weight on them. The pads were a breeze to hammer in place and did a fantastic job of levelling out the stools for me. I got them close, but there was still a touch of wobble in the furniture until I nailed in these beauties. I'd absolutely recommend them to any woodworker or anybody having issues with uneven furniture or worn legs. So far, they've seen a month or so of daily use without the slightest impact to quality. These are the ONLY chair leg pads that stay put and the pads don't work their way off the cap. My dad is on the heavier side and ends up messing up all the chair pads we have tried previously. And he doesn't visit THAT often. Some pads on chairs I bought from a friend were just felt stick pads on the wood legs. Those are now shot and once they come off they never stick again. These stay, the part you nail on doesn't bend or warp and the pads being built in is exactly what I needed. Read more

We replaced our plastic chair sliders either these and now our new floors are no longer getting scratched! They stay on and are holding up great. My husband seemed to have an easy time installing them! Read more

After all of the "glue-on" pads fell off of my chairs, I replaced them with these. They are easy to install- just hammer them into place. These stay on and actually work. Read more

Protective pads don't last forever. I've found the glue-on ones fail pretty fast. The pads that have a single nail in the center are tough to remove, as the nail usually stays behind and you're left with having to do an extraction of a headless nail. These last a good while and are easy to replace. Read more

We got a new wood floor in the kitchen about a year ago and while the stick-on felt pads work fine for large-legged furniture (table, bench), they didn't want to stay put on our chairs, even though I reinforced the bond with epoxy. It was frustrating to have to re-apply the pads every few weeks but I couldn't find - or even imagine - anything that would work better. I don't know what I put in the Amazon search bar to make these pop up but as soon as I saw them, I ordered a couple of packages. We've had them in use now for a week or two and they work great! I can stop resenting my nice new floor now. Read more
