I use it to connect older devices that use USB A to USB C ports which are becoming common in today's computers. For example, i have a Superdrive (Apple CD/DVD Drive) with USB A connecor that I need to connect to Mac Mini M4 which has USB C ports only. Dongles do not work because it does not have enough power to drive the Superdrive. Read more
We're in a USB-A and USB-C world, and Murphy's Law says that whatever you're connecting has the wrong one. This is a set of five of each, so you're covered. I've bought several adapters and have run out. This solves the problem for the right price. Oh, and these do work no problem, most recently for a Ring Doorbell battery. I can't comment on their 10Gbps/120W, USB 3.1 rating, because I've never used them for USB 4, but they've been working fine for things like charging keyboards and mouses. Read more
This 10 pack is simply the best adapter for a Mac Mini 1 with a single hdmi but a USB A port to interface with a Plugable DisplayLink Hub. Hooked it up added the adapter and it worked! Read more
