These are a modest substitute for regular yoga mats but I found that it was a bit thin, so when I was on my knees I could feel the pressure from the hardwood floors within the mat. So it's good for sitting down, or just something short term, but if you wanted to use this longterm, I wouldn't recommend unless if you're on the lighter side (under 135lb). These are super thin at only 3mm, so be prepared for that. They are working great for my home gym. I needed enough to cover a decent area of square footage, and didn't want to pay the higher price it would have been to have enough thicker ones. They have a nice grip to them, and lay fairly flat, except at the very ends, which keep curling up even after a week or so. If you are using them over carpet, they will be just fine. I am using mine over laminate flooring, so since I have enough I will end up putting down two layers of mats, and hopefully it will feel a little better. For the price and getting a dozen, however, I think they are a good deal, and certainly do the trick for a yoga mat. Read more
