This notebook is wider than those that have the pen holder on the side. But, it is the same width if you include the pen. I like that the pen is on the inside. It doesn't get caught when you slide it into a shirt pocket. It fits most of my shirt pockets and all of my suit jacket pockets. The only downside is the writing pad is less than 3". I have pads that I use that are exactly 3" wide. I had to trim the back cardboard with scissors to get it to fit the notebook. Not a big deal. Read more
