So yeah, like the some of the other reviews state, when you think you have it unfolded, keep going because there's probably one more layer. It's very thin, but it works just fine. You must wet the surface of the tub and walls before you put it down, but be aware that it will still shift if you are scooting around. Stick it up against the walls, get in, and commit to a position. I have a wound that I need to soak. We have one bathroom in our house. I don't want to risk getting germs from others or soaking right after cleaning with harsh chemicals. This may not be the best solution, but it's only temporary and it puts my mind at ease. These are really convenient to use. I like to wet the tub quite a bit before I place this, so that once I position one side, it remains in place as I place other sections. After a soak, making holes to drain is simple enough. I often go on weekend trips for mini vacations, and these come in very handy at such times. One can never be sure that the tubs are really clean. I use these all the time now and am sure of a clean tub. And I leave a clean tub behind as well. A little respite for the cleaners after I vacate.
