These are a Great Product to Strengthen the Door Existing Hardware. My top spindles had gotten loose and would not properly fit or stay in place. The small screw might had been enough to secure it for a lifetime… but I wasn’t sure; so I made a Simple Change. I drilled out the small hole in the metal to a larger diameter and use a larger screw to secure it. This repair kit shipped and arrived fast. This was a 10 pack of stainless steel bi-fold door repair kit. The kit includes all the brackets and hardware needed for the job. The brackets fit our bi-fold doors perfect and what they do is reinforce any cracks or splits currently on the sides of the door(s). These brackets are very functional at doing their job of saving your doors at a muck lower cost than replacement. These bracket are very easy to use. You simply place them over the crack of split and use 2 of the included screw to secure them to the door preventing the crack / split from breaking in half. I put some wood glue in the crack before installing the bracket in hopes of a better bond and fix. I still have some left over but would order again if needed. Got this to repair a bifold closet door that lost integrity on the roller hole. Surprisingly it was working just fine pivoting without the roller in the track. I should have measured the width of my closet door, as this repair kit was a bit too wide so the plate sticks out a bit, but didn’t affect the repair. I also had to get new rollers since the old one snapped, but it seems like not all rollers are made equal. Bought a 7/8 on amazon and it ended up being too large to fit through the plastic ring. Ended up having to go to Home depot which had rollers with plugs that appear to be a smidge smaller. Still took a bit of effort to push it through, but the tighter fit is a good sign that it will last. Overall, it works, make sure to measure! Read more
These repair parts are the ultimate solution to your bi-fold door issues. I've noticed that the outer interior wood frame is made from soft pine wood that allows the pins to lose there rigidity with repeated use over time. Very handy to have around the house and only takes a few minutes to install. I've noticed that solid wood bi-fold doors are usually a bit thinner than standard ones. This piece Bi-fold Door Repair Kit was a simple install, no instructions needed. The wheel didn't fit inside their plastic insert so I believe its designed for a different purpose. I set the wheel inside and will need to glue or add foam spray to keep it seated. All you need is a tiny screwdriver and it takes only 1 minute. Fits your standard big box improvement store interior hollow core doors. Functions great and keeps my door on its track again. You can see it so I'd recommend painting it. Great value. Great product.
