I've bought a few gift box sets the past year and this has been the most expensive but also my fav so far! One highlight is that it doesn't come with a bunch of random things people already have a lot of that end up collecting dust - like mugs, keychains or thermos/tumblers. Most of it is "consumables" that they will be able to use and it will be gone. The only thing I'm really disappointed with is the robe. The tag says its XXL but it seems short. I'm 5ft and it comes down to my knees. My bf if 5ft 9" and it just looks like a long shirt on him. The description also states its "plush." Its a very thin silky material. If you are a bigger person this just isn't going to fit. The socks are super soft and very plush and the eye mask is made a similar silky material but has some stuffing in it making it "plush." Loofa is nice - seems comparable to the ones we get from the Dollar Tree (2 pack). It's on the smaller side. I didn't try the bath bombs, bath salts, mask sheets or bottled products but they seem to be decent quality over all. I'm only disappointed that the bubble bath, shampoo and body wash have sodium lauryl sulfate. It's usually found in cheaper products and can cause skin irritation - I don't personally use products with that ingredient for that reason. If I was gifted this I would probably still use them since I don't like to waste and wouldn't be using them long term. Candle (and bottled products) all have a pleasant light scent to them. It's one of the few times I've bought a box like this that I opened the box and wasn't hit with a strong smell. Overall nice quality if you aren't sure what to gift someone but I wouldn't consider it a "luxury" box since the ingredients aren't top notch and the robe isn't going to fit most people and seems cheap. The highlight of this spa gift set is the lotion. It's very rich and creamy, more like a luxurious hand cream than a body lotion. It absorbs very well and isn't greasy. It does a great job of hydrating my very dry skin. The lotion, bubble bath, and body wash are in attractive bottles that look like the fancy glass ones at expensive hotels. The bath bombs and masks are fine - nothing special but nice to have - and the sleep mask and bath poof are also nice extras to have laying around the house for guests. The package contents could easily be divided to use as small gifts and stocking stuffers. The set is beautifully packaged and presented in a pretty gift box with shredded cream-colored paper inside that doubles as decoration and packing material. However, I cannot stand the scent of the body wash and bubble bath. It is a vague coconut smell and a sickly kind of sweetness on top, no note of white tea that I can detect. It smells like sunscreen and a sweaty poolside bar. Not to my taste and the smell even makes me flinch. However, the lotion has a different scent that fades very quickly once applied. The other drawback would be the bath salts. They have a lovely rose fragrance but the jar is laughable small, like fits in the palm of my hand with lots of room to spare. It would be enough for maybe a foot soak but not a bath. Read more
