Best dehumidifier I ever purchased. Quite, uses less electricity, and gets the job done. pulls out 5-6 quarts of water in 12-13 hours run time in a furnished basement. I put mine on in am.. set for 12 hours and by night the tank is full. I have a second unit , same mfgr. in laundry area, an d that one I can use the drain hose which makes it doubly convenient. I do not mind having to empty the tank in the basement area unit each night... knowing it is preserving flooring, walls and furniture by extracting humidity... in addition the removal of humidity has eliminated ALL BASEMENT ODOR.. an embarrassing ( and unhealthy) air quality when having guests... we keep our furnished basement pristine clean, now the air is dry and pristine as a livable basement should be. Also, when guest are in home, the unit is so quiet you hardly know it is running. This is a new and superior technology than major brand name units... sooner or later all dehumidifier manufacturers will use the same type of compressor. A rotary compressor is favored over an older, bulkier piston compressor for its efficient, quieter, and more reliable operation. Features of a rotary compressor Efficient and quiet: The rotary compressor uses a continuous rotational motion to compress refrigerant, unlike a piston compressor's back-and-forth motion. This results in quieter operation with less vibration, which is ideal for home appliances. Compact and lightweight: Rotary compressors are smaller and lighter than piston models of comparable performance, which helps with the portability of the dehumidifier. Enhanced performance: Aeocky adds its own innovations to the compressor, such as a "3+3" or "3+2" evaporator and condenser coil structure with pure copper pipes, to achieve high energy efficiency ratings, including the Most Efficient Energy Star 2025 standard. Improved low-temperature operation: The use of a rotary compressor allows the dehumidifier to operate effectively in lower temperatures, such as down to 42°F, without freezing up like many older compressor models. We have used many dehumidifiers in our 1200 sq ft basement and this one is by far our favorite. Perfect size for the basement and it works quick and well. Great value for the product. Very easy to use and has options for a bucket or a hose for drainage. Very quiet. Read more

This unit operates very quietly compared to other units we have had. It also operates cooler than other units. And, it takes out the humidity with less electricity than other units we have had. We also like that you can empty it out daily or hook it up (with the hose provided) to a drain. The reservoir is smaller and easer to empty than other units we have had. Other units have held several gallons of water. Downside is you empty it daily. However, it is light weight and easy to do since it is a smaller quantity of water. Read more

The Aeocky dehumidifier is a dependable unit that reduces humidity in my 2000SF space consistently. But you have to know its limiatation and can work with them. As in all dehumidifers marketed in the Amazon, their stated perfromance capacity is based on operating in a 95℉, 95%RH space. It's performance in a livable space, like 60F and 80% RH, will be down by 40%.. Some units show their performance spec based on room temperature and humidity in their user manual, some unit show in a lable pasted to the unit. The Aeocky unit stated performance is 74 pints per day. In the three weeks I have been using it in my enclosed living space, air conditioned at 77F, with outside humidity at 70% - 80%, it consistently collects 46 pints a day, reducing the humidity to around 55%, but not lower. When I expressed my concern to Aeocky, their customer service responded promptly, explaining that " ........it is a known limitation of compressor dehumidifiers across the industry and not a defect. Achieving a humidity below 55% usually requires a warmer environment (normally 75°F or higher), where the temperature gradient between room temp and the chilled evaporating coil inside the unit is larger, condensation can occur more effectively........ " Everyday I recorded the humidity in the room before starting up the unit, and when it was turned off. It did consistently does the job, collecting around 46 pints a day and lowering the space's humidity to around 55%. The unit is well designed, very easy to move around, very easy to empty the tank manually, and it operates very quietly. In addition, Aeocky's Customer Service should be commended. They do an exceptional job in listening to the customer and providing clear and precise responses. They go out of their way to make the customer happy. Though the unit has its own limitation, but it works in my environment. I end up keeping the unit instead of returning it. And, I would recommend it to other users. Read more

Love this dehumidifier. Works great. Not too loud but can hear it. Comes on automatically and keeps the humidity down really well. Easy to operate and empty. Have not used the tube for emptying, just empty the container when full. Read more

This machine is wonderful. I did have a small problem, and the customer service was wonderful, and I'm completely satisfied with the solution. The machine runs smoothly and is very quiet and it's very easy to remove and empty the collection drawer. Also it comes with all the pieces needed to set up direct drainage of collected water. I've metered the unit a few times and it's very efficient. Also, please note this unit has a unique design which allows it to work in lower temperatures than most dehumidifiers. I am using one in a storage room where the temperature hovers in the low 50s (Fahrenheit) and it does very well. Note, I liked my first unit so well that I purchased another for use in a different area. Read more
