Love this light fixture! I had mine installed by a professional (lol- I don't trust myself with the task) and it looks great both on and off. When turned on, it gives this amazing shadow pattern- like sunlight is emanating from the center. It's gorgeous on the ceiling! I got the 9in Amber colored glass fixture, and I love the hue. It's definitely a warm-yellow/amber color, regardless of what color light bulb you use. But I love that look. It came well packaged and protected, will all necessary installation pieces inside. It has a good weight to it as well - not cheap quality or anything, IMO. It's sturdy and has nice thick glass. I love mine- it really is beautiful whether the light is turned on or off, but it's just exceptionally prettier when turned on! The pattern it makes is awesome. Mine is mounted over my back door, and I love the light it puts out. Take a look at my pics for the color of the amber shade- it is very amber, just FYI! I used this to replace a very basic bubble light, and so far, I am really pleased with the way this looks. It was incredibly easy to install, the kit had everything you needed. I've added a smart bulb, so that only increased its appeal to me. This was placed just outside of a bathroom in a small vestibule where it's mostly hidden in a higher ceiling pocket, but as soon as you walk under you almost can't help but look up. I think they might've slightly exaggerated just how much the light would play through the crystal, but it still looks good and I'm not mad about it. I think if you're looking for mid-century modern style at a great price this company makes some pretty darn good products. This is my second light from Fivemengo and I'm happy with both of them. Gorgeous. Just so freaking classy and tasteful. We wanted to replace an ugly old light fixture in a hallway and this called to me with the amber glass and the faceted globe look. It honestly looks stunning up in the hall. It highly elevates the space which did look a little ratty. It's now eye catching and it's in the entryway hall so I'm so happy to spruce it up. The color of the glass is a subtle amber that looks really golden out of the box. Notice that if you choose a warm bulb it'll highlight the color but a daylight bulb or natural light color bulb will make it a little more soft amber than gold. A cool bulb would negate the effect of the glass coloring so I wouldn't recommend that. Installation was a little tricky because some of the screws included in the hardware package were too long for my existing gang box but I found a couple spare screws that were laying around to replace them and it was fine. Assembly of the fixture didn't take too long but hanging it took longer than expected because of the weird hardware. The glass feels thicker than I expected and I'm not sure if it has a bit of plasticity but it didn't feel like it'll easily break. I'm not sure but it feels very durable. Compared to other fixtures I've shopped, I thought it was a great deal given how lovely it is. It's so decorative for the price I paid and I find it absolutely dazzling. The light is easy to change and you don't have to remove the globe to change a bulb. It's also really easy to wipe clean. I'm honestly really impressed. Read more

It's a gorgeous light fixture with more of a bronze color base, dull rather than highly polished and a beautiful cut glass appearance to the amber shade. Changing bulbs will be a simple as you don't have to remove the shade to remove the bulb. My feelings are that it is better suited for ambiance rather than task lighting. Single page instructions, simple and straight forward; if you've previously installed a light fixture you will have no problem. It's rated for max 60w bulb. In the pictures I present it has a 40w standard incandescent bulb installed; I intend to try other bulbs. It produces an extreme striated pattern in my hallway, and I like that effect. I think it would look great under a covered porch setting and using a dimmer circuit I think there is a more complimentary bulb out there than the standard white light bulb in my pictures. It's a fantastic ambiance light, beautiful on or off. No, my walls are not striped. That's the effect of the light in the hallway on grey walls and ceiling. All pieces necessary to install the fixture were included, even wire nuts. I needed only a phillips screwdriver for the entire job. Again, looking at the pattern I don't feel it's suitable for a work area if it's the only light you have available.
