Excellent product. Works exactly as advertised. Much more economical than the other options. Especially the goops and gels I used to buy from hardware stores ( and on Amazon). 110 of these for less than $20 is a fantastic deal. Such a great price for this. Safeway had a box of 12 for $10.00 of identical product and feels like a major scam. This product is incredible. Started right up while snowing and the wind blowing. Used my electronic lighter and started right away with just a single strand. Would be so good to have around for camping trips. Weight nothing and because of the wax it’s waterproof. Don’t try to start a single one for large firewood. I’ve seen people try to do that and bitch about it didn’t work. It works great for starting with kindling. I don’t wear a watch but I would guess it burns for about five minutes. Should be long enough to get a good fire going. People complain about chemicals? iMO negligible compared to the wood you would use. I fully believe that there is so much in this product that it would probably last through the entire winter spring season. Read more
I am impressed at how well these get my fireplace going. They burn for round 8 to 10 minutes and get my kindling going nicely. My logs are burning well after about 15 minutes. I also use one under a charcoal chimney and the coals get started in about 10 minutes. I was skeptical but now I'm a believer. Read more
