I do some rock painting so thought this would be a fun set to try art on my nails. The pens were easy to use ….just shake and push down on the pen until the color shows on the tip. I used a paper towel so I could see when the color was where I wanted it. Paint your nail with your usual nail polish and then start drawing. As I am terrible at drawing I just tried a simple daisy … and I have to admit it was more difficult than I expected. I love doing nail art at home, and was excited to see a product where I could easily do freehand designs. Unfortunately, these nail art pens are just not what I was expecting. These seem to just be repackaged cheap paint markers. The fluid that comes out of the pens dries down streaky and chalky, and doesn't resemble nail polish at all. The biggest issue is that the pens leak this fluid everywhere. When you push down the tip to get the paint flowing, it leaks out from the casing and drips all over. I am really struggling using these markers. When you push down on the marker the ink will start to flow into the tip. I have the pens dripping all over the place making a mess. I was able to finally do a small flower. The markers do have a tendency to scrub off easily. I was doing chores and my designs got all scratched and messed up afterwards. These are not alright to use by themself, you will need to use a top coat of polish to seal it. If you have taken a lot of lids off it can be a bit hard to figure out which lid goes to which pen. This set of nail art pens comes in 12 different colors and provides a fine tip for coloring nails. I found them easy to use with nice color variety and quick drying. You can release your inner artist and come up with very creative designs to paint your nails. I've received a few compliments recently after I made a fun Valentine's Day design with hearts. These pens work on natural nails, gels, acrylics, press-ons but I don't see why you can't use them on paper, phone cases, and glass.
