Of course, the size is noted in the listing, and the product does have "mini" in the name, but I was somehow still surprised at how small they are. That's on me. They are functional and far better than plastic tongs, but I'm not sure I'd call them "premium". I needed them for an event, so they've been used. Otherwise, I might have returned them. Not sure. Love these little guys! Perfect for condiments or anything served in a small dish. The 7 inches are just too big. These are a bit thinner metal than I would prefer but they do the job. The edges are sharp so be careful when washing them. Read more

These don't suit me, more CONS than PROs for me, but may suit others. PROs (a) Price and quantity - if you are severely poor and can't afford a decent and fairly inexpensive set of 3 locking and silicone coated tongs, then OK I guess. (b) size - short tongs can be good for very small serving containers or limited footprint to lay them on side in a small saucer if not leaving them in the open serving container. (c) good spring-quality metal, likely to maintain function forever, BUT big drawback noted below... CONs (a) Lack of a locking mechanism, is an absolute deal-breaker for me. Once the factory twist ties are removed, these spring wide open. Impossible to store them neatly and efficiently, requiring far more space of the box they came in, and needing to be stored separately unless you don't mind a big mixed up bundle of utensils to sort through. .Twist ties are a pain in the neck. They come wired together with twist ties, a few with thin plastic sleeves which will not last. If you must own these, I suggest keeping them in their own plastic pecil case. (b) Ill suited for serving anything but sparingly-served condiments, maybe diced hot peepers, certainly not things of significant consumption such as primary fillings for buritos, tacos, meal salads, etc. A small spoon, fork, or mini ladle works best for anything served in small portions. (c) They have a lot of spring to them and short length is more awkward with short-but-wide spring tongs. Read more

My weekly social event often includes snacks of all kinds: : Fruits (like chunks of melon, pineapple, Berries), nuts, crackers, cheeses, chips, poporn, and whatever else you might think of. These tongs are so perfect! The “wider” ended ones are perfect for berries and nuts; the slim ones even have little teeth that help grab onto the fruit chunks or cheese, or meatballs. I don’t know how I was getting by without these wonderful little utensils. They wash up nicely. I tossed them in the dishwasher and so far they are looking good. The metal material is pretty thin, so I don’t anticipate them lasting forever, but with a dozen pack, these will keep our party going for quite some time. For holidays, my DIY salad bar has been an enjoyable part of the meal. The trick has always been trying to find tiny forks or spoons so people can pick up toppings such as shredded carrots, sliced onions, whole olives, etc. With the usual utensils those toppings can easily fall off so people are tempted to use their fingers to pick up what they want. I do have larger tongs for things like dishing out spaghetti but they are too big for the bowls of shredded and chopped foods. This set is just perfect though! The combination of smooth and toothed tongs made serving so much easier and neater for everyone. They are small enough to have one for each bowl of toppings. They work like a charm to pick up difficult things like feta cheese or chopped hard-boiled egg. I would definitely recommend! Read more
