This is a nice upgrade to replace the dreaded ubiquitous 'booblights' of the not-so-distant past. It has a clean, simple appearance and a small footprint, so it looks nice without drawing a lot of attention to itself. It works perfectly with my existing dimmer switch with no distracting flicker (that I notice, at least) at any brightness level. At maximum brightness it's more than enough to fully illuminate the ~10x20 room where I'm using it, and the light is diffuse and evenly spread. Another nice feature is that it has a very low profile (around 3" deep) so it works well with low ceilings too. The range of color temperatures is nice, but be aware that adjusting it does involve removing the cover and adjusting a switch inside the fixture, and removing the cover involves bending a rigid piece of plastic to remove from the fixture. It's not difficult, but if you were installing it somewhere hard to reach I'd advise testing it before installation to figure out what setting you want. For most people this will probably be a one-time setup, but if you want something where you can adjust the color temperature based on your mood, time of day, etc you should look elsewhere. Read more

We just installed this ceiling light in our garage. To be honest, it is not as bright as our previous light so we might swap it out. The 12inch size is just too small to light up 2 car bays. The installation was pretty easy, but I do not like that the switch to change the color tones is under the light, and not via a remote. To change you would have to lightly lift off the cover of the light and then move the knob to the desired color setting. The material is ok and this is a good value for the money, it's just not as bright as I would have hoped for our garage. Read more
