Quality materials, nice weight. Does not look or feel cheap (at least to me, compared to the $35 one I had that only lasted 6 months before battery wouldn't take a charge). Arrived 100% charged, took about 2 minutes to upload all my MP3 audio teachings, sign in to Wi-Fi, and get paired to my portable wireless Wi-Fi speaker. I bought for my daughter so she could listen to Spotify after her screen time is up. Unfortunately the pre-installed Spotify app doesn't work, and the Google Play Store won't open. So there's no way to install or update any apps (including Spotify). (The device does come with 18 pre-installed apps, most of which are generics like "gallery," "music," "calculator" and "clock.") After significant troubleshooting, my workaround was to download a Firefox browser APK on my laptop, transfer it via USB, and install it manually. (Yes that's right, no browser pre-installed on the device except YouTube app.) My daughter can now access Spotify through the Firefox browser, but not as an app. For other buyers who hit this issue: I also tried downloading and sideloading both Spotify and Google Play Store directly as APK and XAPK files, including using a Split APKs Installer (SAI) tool. None of these approaches worked. Every attempt failed either early in the process or at the final installation step. Bottom line: The device I received did not work out of the box for my (fairly simple) purposes, and the workaround required significant time and energy. Read more

Worked, literally, for only a few hours. This item arrived, I opened the package, inserted a card, turned it on, paired some headphones, and listened to music for a few hours. Then I turned the item off, plugged it in to charge... and it has never powered on again. There is no graphic that shows whether it is charging or not, but even after letting it "charge" for 24 hours... nothing. It will not power on, at all. It is as dead as a parrot nailed to its perch. I purchased this to listen to music while at work. I wanted something that supports regular apps like Spotify but also wanted to download Hoopla and other listening apps. Also wanted bluetooth while having a corded headphone option while also having the option to connect to vehicle audio. The Good: Is quick to connect to bluetooth. Battery seems to last but I put mine on battery saver and airplane mode. Awesome sound! Transfers music quickly and easily through drag and drop of your own personal music collection. Customer service is really quick to respond if there are issues. Great device for children because they won't be able to access Google play or emails. Appears to have a great parental control options but I uninstalled them since it is my player. The bad: This player did not work out of box like advertised. Please see my photo of the instructions. If I were to know up front that I couldn't dowload apps without going through Customer service or workaround, I would not have purchased. I couldn't access Google play. I mean its there but you can't download apps or get to your Google Gmail. Spotify app you can't get to your paid account by using username and password. When you try to bypass that, Spotify will send a link to your email which, again, you can't get to. By the time their customer service had gotten back to me, my fiance had figured out a workaround which was to download firefox and something called "nova launcher" By that time I was so upset I couldn't use the device I was ready to return. I was so excited to get this but couldn't use it. You know, like the kid that gets the present they really wanted for Christmas but it needs batteries and all the stores are closed. 😞 Once I got over my "Jaded" angry stage, I finally gave it a try and have been listening to it ever since.
