Have not yet needed to used these. They are similar to a wire zip-tie but used in the middle, not at the edge. I got them as emergency repair for misc things. They are well suited for a automobile panel that has come loose, like a bumper panel. I now carry a few in my car, a few in my camping gear, at home, work locker, etc. Theses are a total of about 3 inch long, with the first half inch being smooth (no ratcheting teeth) so about a 2 1/2 inch working length.
