Leg tubing dimensions are about 13/16" x 1-5/8". This was important to know because I needed floor protectors to prevent the legs from wearing out the carpet. This bed frame is easy to assemble and when the bolts are tightened, it's quite sturdy. I assembled it in one room and walked it into another. I will get some hard plastic or glass carpet protectors so I can slide the bed over the carpet for cleaning. I chose the 16" version because that approximated the height of the bed when I had a box spring and traditional angle iron frame with wheels. The space under the assembled frame is about 14-3/8". This can allow for a lot of storage and that's one of the reasons that I bought this. This bed frame will look new for a long time. The legs come with holes which can accommodate a headboard if needed. The frame is a good value and well worth what I paid. So far, it's very comfortable to sleep on a bed that's raised off the floor. If one removes the mattress, the frame is easy to move. I have seen sturdier tubing, but it easily supports my weight and it is well designed. It is surprisingly rigid based on its 80" length. Once assembled, it would be better to remain where it was first placed. I'm glad that I chose this one. Read more
Love this frame! Bought it to replace noisy box springs that made the bed too tall. Took about an hour to unbox (was packed well) and put together with one person. Zero noise from the frame, and I've had it for 2 months now! Not used to having middle posts on a bedframe- bought these black 'Knitted Furniture Socks' 16 piece, and they stretched over the rectangle posts perfectly. I layered 3 to a post (posts at the wall and inner middle had none). Added just enough cushion to protect the toes from tapping or running into posts. Wouldn't save your toe from a hard knock, but still worth it if you tap or graze the post with bare feet. 12 inch height was perfect for plastic storage bins and standard bed skirts, tall enough for cats to more easily walk under (and no box springs to climb into!). One of the better Christmas gifts to myself in a while! :) happy sleeping! Read more
This is a GREAT bed frame & the price is very fair! It was easy to put together with the picture instructions. The hardware and tools were nicely packaged and labeled. It took me about 30 minutes to put together by myself. The frame is nice and high so there's opportunity for plenty of storage under the bed. It is sturdy and lightweight so it's easy to move around even with a mattress on it. It's also compatible with headboards if you'd like to add one. I love it! Read more
After a bedrail of a wooden sleigh bed broke I was left scrambling for a replacement to hold my matresses off the floor. According to Amazon I should be able to attach my headboard and foot boards to this. It does have several slots on the legs that one can use to attach head and foot boards to. Meanwhile this takes 45 minutes to assemble by oneself. The wrench they give you could fit the nut a little better but it works. Everything you need is in the box to assemble. Very sturdy, not creaking noises. Quite pleased. No box spring required on the 16" version...unless you want a bed that is chest high on a 6ft tall person. Also the box spring just slides around on the platform which is dangerous. As a platform bedframe you have no use for a box spring. Looks nice and seems able to accommodate head and foot boards...good value option to replacing wooden bedrails, and not difficult to put together if one is alone Read more
Such a great frame, we purchased it again, this time in a different size. It is especially nice if you move with some frequency. It is easy to take it all apart and put back in its box. Once assembled, and the mattress is placed on top, it is quite sturdy. Before you have covered it though, be careful, those slats are not held in place and can be bumped easily - knocking them out. Which has led to a domino effect as you reach through to pick it up and put back in place. This frame is tall enough to slide totes right underneath, keeping things neat and tidy. Concerned about the visuals of boxes or totes under? There's a bedskirt for that - straight and tailored or gathered and ruffled. The frame holds up well, and holds the mattress up - all mattress. Zero squeaks, very sturdy, easily attachable to a headboard. This big guy appreciates what this holds up without complaining. We love having the storage space underneath. It is difficult to find a ruffle in this length. Read more
This frame is probably one of the best I have ever purchased, it is as exactly as pictured, super sturdy as my mattress is heavy af. I got the 14 inch. It’s low enough for my elderly pitbull to jump on and off of, it also doesn’t move or shake when anyone is getting on or off. Lots of space underneath to store things as well. It’s definitely worth the money. Very good quality. Read more
