I’m really impressed with these replacement brush heads! I have a very old Oral B that works fine, but it’s hard to justify spending the serious price of brand name replacement brush heads. The previous no name replacement heads I’ve tried are just ok — they fit, they work, but are nothing special and are not as good as the Oral B brush heads. These brush heads aren’t just as good, they’re better quality and fit more snugly on the brush — I’ve been having trouble with the Oral B heads sliding off while I was rinsing the brush under running water. I’ve sampled each of the four types of brush heads, (four each of Cross Action, 3D White, Floss Action and Deep Cleaning are included in the package) and while some differences are subtle, there definitely are differences. The Cross Action and Deep Cleaning heads are most similar, offering what feels like a very thorough and vigorous tooth cleaning. The Floss Action head definitely feels like the bristles are reaching deep between my teeth, which feel very refreshed when I’m done. I didn’t know what to expect from the 3D White brush heads. However, I used mine with Crest 3D White Brilliant two step whitening toothpaste, and saw a definite difference compared to when I used an ordinary brush head with that product. I’m really pleased with this product and delighted to have found such a high quality, well priced source to keep my old but serviceable Oral B brush cleaning well for the foreseeable future! I've always pretty much used my brush heads til they were really truly worn out basically because of the cost of replacement brush heads. These are a game-changer! They work easily as well as the brand name that came with the Oral B brush, and honestly, I can't really tell any difference. Yet now I won't have to subject my gums to frayed brush heads because I can replace them affordably. Really a great value for replacement brush heads. Brand name Oral B toothbrush heads are significantly more costly than these compatible brush heads, but let's face it, you change toothbrush heads only a few times a year (dentists usually recommend every 3 months or so) so toothbrush costs aren't high up on the list of significant expenses. Bottom line: buy the brand if there's no difference in quality. So now let's look at quality. These brush heads fit perfectly well (don't try them on Philips toothbrushes - they will work only on Oral-B units), have a color indicator on the bristles, and they'll brush your teeth without a hitch. But they aren't as soft as the brand meaning there may be some gradual enamel wear that you wouldn't get otherwise. Dentists are fond of always recommending softer brushes. You do, on the other hand, get to try each of the four varieties, and can determine which one is your favorite, something you can't easily do with the brand, since Oral-B doesn't have a variety pack that I've seen. My vote: Get one of these packs, figure out which type of brush head you prefer, then get that in the brand and judge for yourself. But don't forget that the softer brush is likely the better brush.
