I like to carry one in my purse and it would be better protected with a cover. That said, these are very, very handy notepads. I received a pack of eight pads as advertised. Their paper is bright white as advertised. It is of sufficient weight to serve its purpose and does not allow ink to bleed through. The pages are not perforated. Rather, they peel away from the sticky binding at the top of the pad. They do not fall off my pads unless I pull them off. These pads are a convenient size for to-do lists, shopping lists, and/or jotting down ideas while I'm away from my desk.
