Good Option for Temporary Auto Repairs
I appreciate the good quality of these zip ties. They feel pretty heavy duty and I expect them to last for my purpose of securing a front facia piece on my Yukon that had lost a retaining clip. It Zip ties and holds the facia piece firmly in place. I also tested them as an alternative to the bolts holding my license plate in place. I drove around for a week (more than enough time to order and receive replacement license plate bolts) with these in place and it held the license plate no problem. They are not a permanent repair solution, but they are good in a pinch and I consider them good value for the money. First try not so good
Well, I decided to try this yesterday. Open the package took one set out, tried to close the package, but other ones were sticking over the edge and had to corral them are still on the lower part of the label. The one I took didn’t work. I’ll inspect another one today and try it lousiest packaging I have ever seen. The package is about 10“ x 10” and a half inch thick. I’ll have to repackage it in smaller quantities. Hopefully one works today and I can see how durable it is. Seems like a good idea.. Read more
