This toolbar is of good quality, is a good size to hold a ton of tools but not grow too heavy/bulky to carry. It has tons of pockets of various sizes to fit lots of different tools. The flexible/hard bottom insert does a great job of both keeping the bag expanded and protecting the bottom. It has plastic feet to keep the bag elevated and off the ground. The handle is comfortable. The shoulder strap is adequate and has strong clips that seem like they'll hold up to the size/capacity of the bag. My two complaints/suggestions are: 1) the zippers are hard to close since this is a "scissor" style closure bag where the top edges are stiffened and come together to allow it to zip, but the extra zipper that extends down the side in order to allow the opening to fully expand to the full width of the bag, makes it hard to zip up. You have to work the zipper around a 90 degree angle. This is not a flaw in the bag itself, just the nature of this soft side, wide-mouth design that will take a little getting used to - and maybe needs a little breaking in. 2) There are various sized pockets that accommodate different tool types, but there aren't a lot of small sized pouches for things like individual screwdrivers, etc. Not a problem as you can store a couple together. Several of the pouches/slots are large enough to hold things like stud-sensor, Speedsquare, etc. There is also Molle on the side for things with clips like tape-measures, etc. All in all, happy with this bag. Replacing a Bucket-Boss style "bag" in the hopes that this closing bag will accumulate less dirt/sawdust and other crud. Read more

I love a bag with lots of pockets. Many of them don’t donut very well, though. This one does it correctly! The pockets have about the right amount of space for a tool or three, not so much the slide sideways and get out of sight. The space is enough that the stacked pockets still seem useful, the lower pockets have enough room for shorter stuff but still the larger are usable most of the time. The zippers feel decent, no trouble so far, might hit them with some wax to line them. The zippered front pocket with lots of little holders helps keep a pile of my smaller tools handy, but secure so they don’t fall out easily like they used to. The interior pockets are functional — I use them for bit flat packs and some fixed blade knives and other oblong the not very thick items. The plethora of pockets helps prevent tools getting lost under your bigger, bulkier items. Less digging means more work gets done! I haven’t tossed this around much or dragged it all over a worksite, so not sure my assessment of durability or build quality would matter. For my purposes of holding handyman tools for around the house it’s a godsend. Look to a tradesman for a better assessment of how tough the stitching is or how resistant to tears the cloth is. About as good as it will get for a bag with outer pockets. The key issue is, outerpockets on every bag I found (and bought and returned), are never deep enough to reliably put anything normal size into (without the risk of it falling out in transit), I don't know why they can't make the outer pockets deeper and maybe with some kind of elastic to hold tools in place. If you look at my pictures see the normal sized blue handle needle note pliers...it does not fit in any pocket (outside the bag or inside the zipper enclosure without blocking the zipper) so I put it inside (which uses space in the main compartment). I did manage to find a set of small /short tools to fit in the zipper enclosure. But I would have rather had all full size tools. Screw drivers fit nowhere....so I just stuffed them all together in one ot two pockets... Given that is a very common tool. It would have been nice if they made a reasonable quality screwdriver pockets. Those outer straps are useless for screwdrivers unless it's a very big screwdriver. So put my channel locks in there. And my electrical tester. And one very long adjustable wrench. See the pictures that'll give you a better idea of the space. pay attention to the blue handle plier that sticks out.... It's there to show you the depth of the pockets. Pockets on the far side of the zipper enclosure. Are a bit deeper. But I still wouldn't put a normal size tool in there as they would not fit snugly and possibly bounce out and get lost. I put a rolled up contractor bag in one of the side pockets together with My wire stripper handles down to hold it in place more snugly. No good place for a tape measure... So just throw it in too The main compartment with my hammer and hand wipes....still has room for my full size drill/screw gun... Which I left out so you can see inside. Probably never zip the top closed. But could have if I had a smaller drill. Definitely better than the lowes / home Depot plastic buckets that I used before and cut my hand every time I dig for a tool. But still far from ideal... Read more
