I have a ton of (brand name removed) M18 batteries that are used in various different capacities daily. But what I do not have enough of is light sources that run off of those batteries. I recently ran over the (name brand removed) light and it was unsalvageable. So, in the search for a replacement, I came across this. Here are my thoughts: The light arrived quickly and was packaged well. The box was super light, so I was hesitant at first regarding the quality. Turns out it is pretty solid. It has a pretty good-sized light head with a plastic diffuser that really floods the light out evenly. Kind of gives it a warm yet bright tone. The light is adjustable as well, meaning the different modes put out different amounts of light. I attempted to get pictures of this, but they all kind of looked the same so I just posted the one (me holding it.) It does have the typical SOS and “strobe” which is basically just a slow flash, that you find on imported flashlights. Overall, this is a great addition to the battery powered light sources and will be abused heavily in and around the shop. Highly recommend! Read more
This is a nice bright room or area light with four useful settings. It has two issues: 1) The outer cover of the lamp/light is opaque off white--you can't use it for a spotlight at any distance; 2) There is almost no room between the top of the lamp and the pivoting handle on top of it. It barely fit over only one end of a Milwaukee battery adapter from a Ridgid 2 Amp battery. You couldn't use a four amp battery-it would be too thick. It is reasonably well built, but I wish it had a handle to carry it like a hand lantern, and I wish it had a clear lens. I'm not sure how much juice it draws. I put it on a 2 amp Ridgid battery that I thought had a decent charge and it didn't work; The battery charged up quickly and then it worked fine. That issue may have been due more to using battery adapters than to this lamp. Overall I like it, but at $35.00 I think it is overpriced. Read more

Weight without a battery: 16.4oz. All plastic housing, including U-shaped support bracket with integral, retractable hook to hang it from. The plastic seems adequate, but definitely not as robust as, for example worklights from OEMs like Dewalt of Milwaukee. I am reasonably confident it would withstand a short drop, but less confident on repeated abuse. The all-plastic bracket has 11 click-stops to customize the angle of support. With the bracket centrally deployed, up to and including a 6Ah M18 battery will fit. OEM and aftermarket batteries fit perfectly and positively lock in place. Specs from the manufacturer: 2400L max output 52 minutes duration on high per Ah of battery capacity 6000-6500K color temperature Light is pretty bright. 3 brightness settings plus flashing mode. No memory of last mode setting upon power off. Having a work light that takes cordless tool batteries gives you options that internal rechargeable lights cannot. No magnetic option, however. The multi-pound weight with M18 battery would drive use of a pretty powerful magnet. I like this light, it is bright, with multiple mounting / positioning options. I've used this now several times and i's quite bright! I like the hanging hook feature. I DO wish there was some type of a slight kick stand so you could lean it up on an object rather than the attached bracket that it comes with since it's plastic... i feel like it could be stronger. With my OEM Milwaukee batteries it fits fine but the larger aH (8 or above) will have almost no clearance from the current plastic hook/bracket. This is when the metal hook/bracket would have been better in my opinion. Overall, very bright and is a nice hanging light where you need light.
