I bought 2. One last year or so, and one now, however the trash can has a manufacturing defect in all of them. The finish in one part of it is completely different from the rest. I hope they improve it. See the picture attached. Read more

Hyped marketing ticks me off, I'm tired of junk, and over-paying for junk makes me throw things and break stuff. Happens quite a bit these days. But, this is finally a small trash can that is good quality, works right, and will likely last. It better, at 70 bucks!! The can is metal. But "solid" like stuff used to be made. I don't even remember anymore what it is like to be surprised when things come out of the box and you say "wow, this is really crap." Nowadays it's surprising when something is really good! Like this can. But the real deal is in the lid. It is also solid and well made, but the really great thing is that it works! I mean that you can tap the edge and it spins easily and actually closes every, single time! It's like a little machine and has some weight. (Actually, it just swivels the way you'd expect a good lid to, but I'm serious about the weight part.) Now, I just admitted that I typically expect stuff to disappoint, so I might be waxing slightly hyperbolic here, but I promise, if you can risk 70 bucks (Sheeesh!) for a little can next to the toilet, this one won't disappoint, even if it doesn't sprout rainbows. Oh, and it looks nice! I mean, really nice. We recently remodeled the downstairs WC with new fixtures, top end stuff, black and brass/gold, and this can is like icing on a cake. I guess that's what makes it worth $70--if you have a bathroom you're proud to let your guests sit in and admire for a few minutes while they have time to look around, why put a piece of junk from Home Depot in there?
