These are everything I needed to freeze soups and stews. The lid secures tightly but I would be careful to handle with care until frozen as they are soft and pliable. Just lift by the top of containers and it's fine. I love that they are made of food grade silicon which is non toxic unlike plastics. When removing frozen foods it's easiest to let sit on the counter for a little bit until they start to thaw or you can run warm water briefly over them with lid on. It is very much possible to pop out food without the aforementioned ideas but it just takes a little more technique. If you fill them to the top and don't allow any air then they will get NO freezer burn or frost at the top. They will however swell a little as the water in the food expands with freezing. It's really not necessary to fill that full if you want them to not swell too much and be more stackable. The little bit of frost that will develop it minimal and can easily be scraped or rinsed if you're concerned about taste being affected. I heard one reviewer complain that they are dangerous for freezing hot soup stock because of the flexibility and not having a firming wire framing the top of the molds but to me that's silly because who freezes scalding hot foods before they cool to room temperature ?!?! These containers are great for freezing single servings. Once frozen, I remove the food and vacuum seal in a bag, label, and return to the freezer. The uniform shape and size make it easy to stack the "bricks" of food. Works especially well for soup. I definitely recommend these containers. Read more

Very easy to use and store. I like the 2 cup capacity of them and being fully silicone makes it easy to remove frozen contents. That being said, be cautious of how much you fill them, when the liquids expand it can warp the top. This has not caused any actual warping of the silicone top, but it does make it a little more difficult to stack them in the freezer. Overall I love these and even bought another set! Read more

I bought these silicone molds to make ice blocks to be used in a Breg Polar Care Cube cold therapy machine, during recovery from my Total Knee Replacement. Excellent grade of silicone providing easy extraction of the ice blocks, and the silicone lids seal very well and allow the blocks to stack on top of one another in the freezer. I can put five ice blocks into the Breg Polar Care Cube which provides over 6 hours of cold therapy for my knee. These worked out so well to make ice blocks as described above, that I bought another set of four to have an endless supply of ice. Read more

I am very happy with these freezer trays. When I make soup or stew I like to freeze some of it. These containers hold about 2 cups of food and this is a good portion for me. The frozen food comes out easily and takes up much less room than a whole container in a small freezer. I wrap the frozen food in plastic wrap and put it with others in a plastic bag. The trays are easy to clean and even tomato sauce did not stain. They are a good quality and seal well. Read more

These silicone molds are perfect for freezing meals for later. I've got a bunch of 1cup molds. But I found that 2 cups is perfect for a proper dinner/ lunch portion. I freeze soups, stews, chili, stock, lasagna, etc... . Once the lid is on, they feel sturdier carrying them to the freezer. When the food is frozen, I pop em out and seal the cubes in vacuum bags.
