While I wouldn't just throw this in by bag on any given trip since it's a little bulky for travel in my opinion and I like to pack ultra-light, I do think it is absolutely perfect for the use I ordered it for. Namely, I got this for my college-aged son for use in his on-campus apartment. It's great in that it holds and protects his toothbrush, toothpaste, and a few other dental accessories. When he's traveling to and from home for the holidays or going on a weekend trip, he can just fill it with his all tooth stuff and throw it in his tote bag. It's also really convenient for him because it doubles as his bathroom water cup. He only shares his bathroom with a couple other students now, and I wish I'd seen this last year when he was living in a packed dorm with a communal bathroom used by tons of people. It would have been great for him to carry his toothbrush, toothpaste, and cup down the hall while being completely protected from germs or gross, wet bathroom counters without having to worry about an extra bag, toothbrush cover, etc. I think it would also be great to take on the type of camping trip where you are tent camping but have access to a communal bathroom for the same reason. This is great as both a storage cup for your toothbrush and paste while traveling as well as on the counter of your bathroom or hotel, guest room, etc. I sat them on my bathroom counter with the toothbrush and paste in one side and use the other for mouthwash. When its time to travel, I can just close it and place them all in my bag for easy travel. The quality is decent and looks like it will hold up well. I feel like it should be smaller for travel, but it holds the toothpaste, my manual brush and a large handled electric toothbrush with ease. There’s a small handle you attach yourself when you receive it, and it feels sturdy once it’s clipped on. The holder is pretty roomy so you can fit multiple brushes or a full-size toothpaste inside here. It is pretty large, so if you’re trying to travel light or save space, this might not be for you, but if you don’t mind an object that’s a little larger, it’s nice and roomy for protecting your items for camping or travel. This didn’t have any out-of-box smell, which I liked. It feels sturdy in hand and is larger than other cases I’ve used, but that makes it good if you want to carry specialty dental products or bigger brushes without squeezing them in.
