As someone with sensitive hearing, I like to keep sets of earplugs on hand when I’m working out in the garage, shooting out on the range, or going to concerts/sporting events. I’ve tried a variety of different earplugs, and one of the things that always seem to be a barrier is the fact that most earplugs block out all sound; including the things I WANT to hear. So, when I found an earplug that permitted audio in lower decibel ranges to pass through, but blocked audio at the levels I find uncomfortable, I was immediately hooked! Fortunately, these earplugs work exactly as they should. The audio they let through is clear and crisp, yet the loud noises the plugs block is muted to the point that it is almost unbelievable. When I first tested them out, I put them in my ears and clapped my hands as loud as I could. I could hear the clap through the earplugs as a dull clapping noise… It was as if I was clapping at 1/10 the force of what was intending to do. This was so surprising that I removed the earplugs to ensure that I was, in fact, creating a loud clap as intended… and I definitely was. The first time I clapped without the ear plugs in the clap was so loud it made me flinch! Needless to say, I was assured that the earplugs were working exactly the way they should from that point forward. Additionally, these earplugs fit very well. It’s always been difficult for me to find earplugs that fit in my ear and stay put, but the design of these earplugs works very well for my ear shape and size. Once put in place, I can tuck the tab of the plugs just inside of my outer ear, and the earplugs stay put consistently (until I opt to remove them). Compared to other earplugs I’ve used that have a tendency to fall out if I bend or turn the wrong way, these are a huge step forward. These earplugs are comfortable, reliable, and they do a terrific job. If the above doesn’t make it obvious, I’m very pleased with these little earplugs. I love these. They are made well. These block tons of sound once you figure out how to put them in your ear. Totally worth the money. I sometimes work nights and can't expect the world to be quiet for me, and these will help me sleep wonderfully. I bought them because I hate the sound of wind; they block it and everything else. I can't hear the wind at all, and everything else is muted to a whisper. I do, however, find that these create a bit of suction in my ear, and I need to take them out every once in a while to release it. Other than that, I don't really feel them. Read more
