I thought these wouldn't be very effective because they aren't complex, nor do they have hard inserts to restrict movement. They are essentially a flat velcro strap with a hole for your thumb. I am happy to report I was wrong. I have some wrist issues from some health challenges and love to crochet. Those two things are often incompatible, Thankfully, these straps provide just enough pressure to make crocheting comfortable for an hour or so. They don't get sweaty and fold up nicely in my project bag. I think of them more as compression gloves for my wrist instead of true braces. They won't prevent movement in a specific direction or prevent overuse like a hard brace will, but it could help support a minor injury or a recurring sensitive area. Read more
