I really wanted to love these lids. They fit the 40 oz. Stanley tumbler great and the color looked great with my rose gold Staley. So why the deduction of one star? I found it impossible to line up the lid to one side of the tumbler or the other. No matter where I started to screw the lid on, the straw ended up in some weird position on the top of the cup. As far as leak proof, I tested my cup in various positions and can say that this lid was virtually 95% leak proof. Much better than the standard Stanley lids. even laying on its side, the cup did not leak. Only when held upside down, did the cup drip from around the hinge area of the straw apparatus. If the location of the straw does not bother you, then I recommend these lids. They are definitely worth the money at that point. Read more

These tops are made for Stanley cups which they do fit and don’t leak, however they took several tries to get the lid to line up with the handle to where it makes sense to take a sip! After several attempts I was not successful and now I understand why they are a dupe. It’s impossible. See photos for a better idea of what I’m referring to. I prefer my straw to line up with the lettering so I’m not searching for the straw in case I’m driving. The closest I could get it was right next to the handle at an awkward position. These Stanley lid replacements are great! I have a 40 oz purple cup that comes with the type of lid with just a straw, which is not spill-proof. Getting this lid was super helpful so now I can take my water on-the-go a lot easier. The lid fit the cup perfectly and passes the spill check. It comes with two straws and a straw cleaning tool also. The purple colored lid, also matches my cup really well. I was worried the shade may be way off and look weird, but it works. Fit perfectly on my cups and seal well. I haven’t had any leaking when tossed in a bag, which is exactly what I wanted. The sliding cover is smooth and easy to clean. Nice to have a spare lid too. Plastic feels durable and not flimsy. Good replacement option instead of buying a whole new cup. Only issue I have is it doesn’t line up with the word Stanley but with the handle.
