I purchased these to make starting a fire while camping easier and it was one of the best backpacking items I've added to my kit. They were easy to fill and are easy to use. The flame is strong and steady and easily catches tinder on fire to get a fire going, even in windy conditions. I had been using standard and mini sized bic lighters for years but these are much easier to use for fire-starting. Plus i like that I can refill them, I hope they last but at this price I'd still buy them again if they only lasted a year. Read more

Some reviews dragging this product down seem to be rather mis-guided. Of course these lighters don't have fuel in them! But filling them is easy. Other people seem to have issues with lighting or filling. I will say this: the dial on the bottom of the lighter that controls the flame level goes all the way from HIGH to OFF! Yep, if you twist it all the way to one side, you will not be able to light the lighter. And you will also struggle to fill it on that setting. But for me this is a nice advantage--I see this as a way to put a safety lock on my lighter--and I like that! The lighter has a long enough neck that I can point it sideways or even point it down and light a campfire--which is perfect. The protective metal around the tip prevents you from burning yourself. The clear case makes it easy to see how much fuel you have. I find the build quality is just fine and have no trouble lighting mine. No leaks--which is important to me because I'm bikepacking. I'll make an update here if either of my two lighters starts to give me problems. For the money, this is a great value. I recommend it! I hope you found my review helpful. Read more
I tried to fill three of the lighters: released all air, used a universal butane tip, per instructions, followed all directions to the letter. I even tried adjusting the flame adjuster, as one review here suggested was the only issue with some folks being unable to fill the lighters. Nothing. Just no fill or butane spraying out of the filler and not entering the lighter. And this isn’t lack of experience, y’all. I’ve owned plenty of refillable lighters that actually work, and I know exactly how to fill them. Anyway, on my last attempt fluid sprayed out of the butane filler, and a ball of fire sparked that was so big it singed a lot of the hair of my head and beard. The fire briefly caught on the tip of the butane filler, which could have caused it to explode in my face. I threw that MF across the room away from me and my ruggedly handsome face and ran out of the room. Fortunately, throwing the butane filler blew the flame out immediately, so I wasn’t permanently disfigured or turned into an impromptu firefighter today. Just pissed off and left with some hair that’s going to take a while to grow back to length after growing it out for two years. Moral of the story: These lighters are poorly made and even dangerous to attempt to fill, as most of them reject the filler and spray butane everywhere. In my frustration, I paid the price for continuing to try to make a poorly made product work. Don’t be me. Do not buy them. If you did, don’t keep effing with them, thinking you’re doing something wrong. You’re not. The lighters are just garbage, with apparently about 1 in 4 or 5 being able to fill. Read more
compact, great flame, easy to use. only drawback is to change the flame's intensity, you will need a small flat-head screwdriver or eyeglass tool to turn the dial. but that drawback is only minor. Read more
These are just what I've been looking for. If you can follow simple instructions, they are easy to fill and adjust. The clear body makes it easy to see if you're getting them filled correctly. Flame is great when adjusted properly. I'll update if I have any complaints, but so far they are definitely worth the price. Read more
Update 3.5 months later- Eh. These are the most finicky lighters ever. Too low, too high , no level seems to work for them consistently, and sometimes I have to click me like who knows how many times for it to light. They were good until about a month ago, because I got used to and just avoided touching the hot part. But yes the ease of use has gone waaay downhill. And I never did hear back about the free lighter I supposedly won , but I'm only just about to see if I can find and figure out that warranty I signed up for.. They are good for the price, and they're good if you want to have them turned up to a higher setting, but not for continuous flame. I was hoping for them to be capable of producing a very small flame, which when turned to a lower setting they won't make a flame, at all. Not just that it won't ignite, but you can't jumpstart it either. I'm pretty sure they have it in the description before you buy it, warning not to keep lit for more than 15 seconds, but yeah even if you turn it off and on , using the lighter for more than 10 seconds makes it get hot, very hot, too hot to hold. Good thing there's four of them so you can use one after another, right? Haha no, actually I haven't done that but I don't believe the first would have cooled down by the time. youre done using the fourth . At first I thought their wind resistance was horrible, but this was on the lowest possible (working) setting, but when turned up pretty high, I am able to light a cigarette while riding my bike at a pretty good speed. For the price, I think it's worth acknowledging that they all worked, there were no duds, which I've gotten in other cheap torch packs I've gotten on Amazon . The media could not be loaded. It’s a pretty cool little lighter, it would be perfect to carry in your pocket. Don’t let the size fool you though, you can adjust the flame to make it quite powerful. It’s made of plastic & metal, it feels very durable. You could pair it with a candle for a cute little gift for a girl, or maybe with a cigar for a guy. Read more
