Off The Grid Ken—September 6, 2025
These don't sit flush, the headlights are recessed and they didn't not take that into account Less important but the included hardware is garbage but it's easy to get quality torx bolts to replace Overall I like the build quality but the design is lacking making these less than what they should be. Was initially excited to order, then they arrived. They were a disappointment to me. The covers would not set flush over the headlights. There were notable gaps that had the potential to catch branches and foliage between the covers and the lights. While the overall design was very appealing, for me, the execution of the design was disappointing and returned Read more
Dickin’ Around Outdoors—July 24, 2025
I was excited to get these as they looked like nice units. The guards themselves are nicely made and appear stout enough to deflect a larger stone or obstacle. The Grenadiers headlights are recesses a bit from the bezel so the fact that these stuck out slightly frome the bezel in places did not cause me any concern, however I do think close to flush would be nice. The deal killer for me, sadly, was the mounting hardware. They have chosen to include a nice spacer with cheap phillips screw head screws. The original mounting screws are torx which don’t round nearly as easily and are more robust fasteners. For the incremental cost of using the same size and shape torx screws I think they missed the boat here. More importantly one of the included mounting screws had manufacturing slag in the head so that, after mounting 6 of the screws, I discovered I could not finish the job and had to remove the one already installed and the other screws and replace with the original. End result right back where I started. For the price (and it seems the Grenadier tax is heavily included as Wrangler guards rarely reach $100) they should have paid attention down the the smallest details. Had they done that I would probably have ignored the cost as there is the issue of scale as well in pricing. But to have them unmountable is a real shame. Read more
