This step stool is very sturdy and stable with rubber pads on the bottom to protect the floor. It is tall enough to give me the height required to reach into the upper shelves while also looking nice enough to go with our remodeled kitchen. But the most amazing part of this product comes with the assembly. I'm with other reviewers where I'd love to give this thing six or even ten stars out of five because assembling this thing was a joy. Yes, pure joy! This has the best assembly instructions I've ever seen hands down. Every part had a small sticker (easily removed) labeling it. The screws were in separate labeled plastic zip bags. And the instructions were a slick heavy paper color printout that clearly showed a visual parts list and then easy to follow diagrams of where each labeled part went. There was a bag of spare parts that I didn't need, plus it had both the Allen wrench and an electric screwdriver tip included! Who does that? The last product I assembled (a chandelier) included a mini screwdriver but because they had a too large hole leading to a hollow shaft, there was no way you were assembling that without a magnetic screwdriver (not provided). I've had other instructions where you have to take a magnifying glass to read the text, you have to decipher poor grammar, and ones where they skip steps and you have to play guess which part goes where. Not so with this stool! It took me maybe ten minutes tops to assemble it. I'm still stunned at the ease of assembly compared to everything else I've ever had the misfortune to put together. This product is definitely the gold standard for DIY assembly. I also bought this company's single step stool for the utility room and it's the same way - everything nicely labeled with easy to follow instructions. If you are looking for a solid step stool with amazingly easy assembly instructions with tools provided then you should definitely consider this product. Read more
Have you ever had those moments when you complain about a problem and your husband finds/buys the solution? This is precisely what happened with this stool. We have a huge platform bed with built-in dresser-like shelves. While it is beautiful and convenient, my 5'3 self can't get in the bed without a jump or sometimes a running jump. This isn't good for the bed and more importantly, for me since I have slipped and have massive issues with it over the years when I have dealt with injuries (sprained ankles, pulled muscles, etc). After realizing that the stool I tried wasn't working or wasn't stable enough for me to trust, we purchased this stool. First off, let me be very clear. Shipping on the stool was much faster than we anticipated, and I was not expecting this heavy box when it arrived. It isn't big, but it is deceivingly heavy. Overall, this was a good sign in my eyes for its make, since I was a bit worried it would be flimsy. Putting together the stool itself took my husband about half an hour since he is recovering from a pulled muscle in his right arm. He predicted that if it weren't for his injury, he likely would have had it together in 10 - 15 minutes. Overall, he was pleased with the instructions and the make of the stool (he is an engineer, so he is very picky). So, what about using the stool itself? Honestly, it is perfect! It is the perfect height for getting up on our bed, and I may get a second one for keeping in the kitchen to reach our higher shelves. It is highly stable and was able to handle both my weight and my husband's with ease. It was even sturdy without the no-slip stickers that came with it. I am still deciding if I need to put them on, but it seems textured enough that I am just not concerned. I also love the look of the stool itself, which looks perfect in our master bedroom! This is exactly as described. It is very sturdy. Since it is one piece, the lower step will not dislodge from the frame or be knocked off. It is easy to assemble, as well. Very well made product. Read more

Excellent quality. The frame is heavier than necessary and the steps are extra thick and strong. It has four adjustable feet, which like the rest of this step stool, are stronger than expected. It even included an allen wrench, which is expected, plus a bit to use in an electric drill, not expected. The only issue I had was that there was no markings as to where to place the anti-skid pads. With a few measurements, I figured that at least mine should be placed 2" from each side. Not sure how far they should go from the front and back. I figured it out and placed them fairly well. It would be better if this came with the anti-skid pads already attached. Read more
