Might save the day.
Let’s be honest. This is a very small jump pack, not only physically small (it just covers an open hand) but small capacity also. One of the only numbers actually on the battery pack is 1500mah. 1 1/2 amp hour. 22 watt hours. Not a lot of power. A small motorcycle battery averages 7 amp hours. And where does the 1500 amp maximum current number come from? If this actually could flow that kind of current, it would completely drain the batteries in under four seconds, during which time the insulation on the #10 cables would have caught fire. What I’m saying is that the numbers thrown around by these vendors don’t mean a lot. This smaller size of jump pack will likely start your car if you left the radio turned on too long but if the battery is truly dead, I don’t think it stands a chance. It will be a good backup that doesn’t eat up a lot of space but might not pull through in all situations. Makes a great phone charger though and these things are great for auxiliary light when the power goes out. They will shine for hours! Update: I finally got to try this out in a real world situation. Honda Oddysee, V6. Owner had an older gel cell jump pack that wouldn’t start the vehicle. We both looked at the minuscule size of this jump starter and said “no way!” Connected it up, owner got in and it cranked like a fully charged battery. Still read full charge afterwards. I feel I may have sold this little guy short on my initial review. Owner of the Oddysee convinced me to sell it to him he was so impressed! For the price, I have changed my opinion of this jump pack.
