This camera is incredibly discreet and looks exactly like a standard USB wall charger, so no one suspects a thing. Setting it up was a breeze, and it connected to my home WiFi without any issues. I was genuinely surprised by the 4K video quality; the image is crystal clear even when streaming directly to my phone. The night vision works great as well, providing good visibility even when the room is pitch black. I also love that the motion detection alerts are fast and reliable. Overall, this is the perfect solution for keeping an eye on the house while I'm away. Read more

This outlet-style camera largely succeeds in its primary objective: remaining discreet. The lens is exceptionally well concealed, and at a casual glance, the unit is virtually indistinguishable from a standard wall outlet. From a design standpoint, this is one of the more convincing implementations of a hidden camera in this category. Compounding that strength is the surprisingly strong video performance. The advertised 4K resolution delivers crisp, detailed footage that exceeds expectations for its price point, and the night vision is both effective and truly covert—there is no visible infrared glow, making it well suited for low-light or nighttime monitoring without drawing attention. Unfortunately, the experience begins to unravel during setup. The initial configuration process is far more temperamental than it should be, with minimal guidance provided to the user. The most significant and frustrating issue is the camera’s inability to connect to Wi-Fi networks whose passwords contain spaces. This limitation is neither disclosed in the documentation nor surfaced as a clear error during setup. Discovering this constraint required time-consuming trial and error, which will likely frustrate less technically inclined users. Once the camera is finally connected, the companion app is functional but unpolished. Navigation feels sluggish, with noticeable delays when loading live feeds or recorded events. The interface itself lacks cohesion, as though multiple design philosophies were combined without a unifying vision. Event categorization and playback are unintuitive, and reviewing motion-triggered clips requires more steps than necessary, detracting from what should be a streamlined monitoring experience. While remote viewing is serviceable once it loads, the persistent latency undermines the sense of responsiveness that modern security apps typically offer. Motion detection does work reliably, and alerts are delivered as expected; however, accessing and reviewing those notifications feels unnecessarily cumbersome. The functionality is present, but the execution lacks refinement, making routine interactions feel more laborious than they should be. From a hardware perspective, the unit introduces a notable tradeoff. While it occupies a single AC outlet, its physical footprint effectively blocks access to both sockets on a standard wall plate. In return, it offers four AC extension ports and three USB outputs, which on paper sounds like a convenient consolidation. In practice, this design requires a degree of caution. Powering multiple devices from a single source outlet increases the risk of overloading the circuit, depending on what is connected, and users will need to exercise judgment to avoid unintended electrical strain. In summary, the camera hardware itself is quite capable. The video quality is strong, night vision performs reliably, and the hidden design is convincingly executed. The shortcomings lie primarily in the software experience and the opaque setup process. For users willing to tolerate a clunky app, troubleshoot undocumented limitations, and exercise care in power distribution, the device performs adequately. However, the overall experience falls short of the polished, seamless solution implied by the product description. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This AX NANNY CAM 2025 Upgraded 4K WiFi Camera is a very clever and discreet solution for indoor monitoring. It looks just like a regular wireless outlet charger, so it blends naturally into a home or office environment without drawing attention. Setup was straightforward using the app, and the 4K video quality is clear and sharp during the day. Night vision works well in low-light conditions, and motion detection alerts are responsive, which is great for keeping an eye on pets or monitoring activity when you’re away. I like that it supports SD card storage, so you’re not forced into a subscription right away. The live view is smooth, and playback is easy to access from the app. The device stays cool and functions normally as a charger, which adds to how convincing and practical it is. The white color looks clean and modern and fits right in with other outlets and chargers. I’ve included a couple of photos and a short video to show how naturally it blends into a real setup. Overall, this is a solid indoor security option if you want something low-profile, functional, and easy to use for home, office, or pet monitoring. ✔️ Discreet outlet-style design ✔️ Clear 4K video quality ✔️ Night vision & motion alerts ✔️ SD card storage option ✔️ Easy app setup Highly recommended for anyone wanting subtle indoor monitoring without bulky cameras. We got this to use to keep an eye on our cat when we are on vacations. We wanted a camera so we could keep an eye on her and make sure she was eating and drinking, etc when our cat sitter is not there. We've used it for awhile now and here is what we have found... Pros: - the picture quality is great. I was able to clearly see our living room and our cat when she was walking across it. The camera angle is very nice. It is a stationary angle so you cannot move it around at all. - It has the ability to store video and pictures if you put a micro SD card in it. - it was easy to connect to the wifi in our home. No issues there. - the app is easy to use and has quite a few features... all are basic though. Nothing out of the ordinary or above basic features. Cons: - setting up the app required a lot of permissions on the phone which seemed unnecessary. You have to do this in order to use their app. Overall, not bad but it took a bit longer than 5 minutes to set up whereas with our Blink cameras set up in a minute. - you cant zoom in with this. We have a Blink camera that lets us do this so we will probably just get another one of those. Overall, when we compare it to our Blink camera for watching our cat, we like the Blink camera better as we can tilt it, zoom in on it and "talk" to our cat over the microphone feature on it. This Nanny cameras lens is stationary so you are basically getting a shot of the room but cannot zoom in, speak, or tilt the camera. Read more
