I bought this portable toilet to take on a trip where we would be staying in a cottage without water or bathroom facilities. It was a huge help! Very convenient to set up & use. And nice to not have to walk to travel to public restrooms several times a day or at night We were all impressed with how sturdy it was & how comfortable the seat was. I did line it with a plastic garbage bag first, then placed the liners provided inside, to help ensure there'd be no leaks or messes. We then empties the contents every day or two into the public toilets & disposed of the used bag. With the lid closed we did not notice an oder until day 2 of use. After putting this portable toilet through its paces for a couple of weeks, I can state without a doubt that it has surpassed my expectations and contributed to an increase in the enjoyment of my time spent outside. The fact that this portable toilet was designed with a lot of extra space was the very first thing that stood out to me about it. The extra-large size offered plenty of space for users to move about in comfort, making it suitable for both adults and children. The fact that it could be folded up meant that it was simple to travel with and store, and thus, it didn't take up a lot of room in my camping kit. Even in unfamiliar surroundings, the solid structure and dependable lid provided a feeling of comfort due to their capacity to maintain stability and security while in use. This portable toilet was very clean in all respects, even the sanitary ones. The trash removal procedure was made more hygienic and less cumbersome by the use of a disposable waste bag system. My camping vacations were guaranteed to be as hygienic as possible thanks to the fact that the bags did not leak and did not retain odors. I purchased this for a camping trip with my son’s pack. I made the purchase so I won’t have to walk during the night to the restrooms. This was the best investment I could have made. The portable was easy to construct, and durable. The paperwork stated you may need to use double bag. So my opinion on that, is when I placed the bag in, I used one of those gel cyrstal packets, which smelled really good. I didn’t use the one that came with the portable because I already had some. Once I was done tied up the bag and put it trash can. There was NEVER a smell in the tent over than the crystal packets. Easy to clean also. We simply wiped the seat and front and back of the lid sams as I would do on a regular toilet. After the trip I was have to put in my storage containers with other camping stuff. The design on those is great. I also kept this in the tent with us, so no one knew! Update: Been using the portable on several camping trips! This thing is a lifesaver at 2am!! It’s still sturdy and to me it doesn’t hold an order. We ALWAYS make sure we wipe down with a Clorox wipe and Lysol after every use! Very easy to store!! I bought this for use in my tent at night. I am a person of a certain age and did not like haaving to get up, put my shoes and good enough clothes on and go to the facilities in the campground. I tested it at home first just to make sure I was not going to topple over or create some tent problem. It was excellent in the test and all the more so in my first tent outing when it ended up raining all day and through the night one day. Price is great value; construction is sturdy; easy to put together; compact to put away; and most importantly it accomplishes the purpose superbly. I highly recommend! Great value and highly functional. No complaints at all. Followup: on my second longer camping trip....this is a game changer in terms of where I can envision staying since I do not have to be right across from park facilities. This camp toilet came on time and well packaged. No instructions, but pretty self explanatory. I was expecting something a bit flimsy but I'm happily surprised that it seems pretty sturdy. Clearly you can't "plop" down on it, but I weigh about 170 and easily supports me. It's clear that the most important part of using it, is to make sure the base is fully open AND the lid is firmly seated onto the base - if not, it won't be pretty. It comes with a padded lid and an additional lid support if you just want to use it as a chair. Comes with some granulated "stuff" in little packets and several black bags for it's use.
