Got the 20 lb with shoulder pads and I love it! Adjustable fit, comfortable, easier to run in than my other one that isn’t a full “vest” style. I like that I can pull out some of the weight for runs to be easier on my shoulders and then add it back in for walks where I’m not bouncing as much. Great quality, adds an extra layer of difficulty to my workout! Read more

This is the vest I reach for every single day. The removable shoulder pads? Lifesaver. The adjustable weights? Even better. I started light and now I’m working up toward the full 40 lbs. It fits well, doesn’t bounce around, and frankly — it pushes me without punishing me. If you’re serious about stacking steps or adding resistance, this one’s worth every penny. Read more

What a workout!!! This vest is great! Suprisingly comfortable for 20lbs! Doesn’t hurt my shoulders and I love that it fits very evenly so you don’t feel like the weight is shifting around when you’re walking! No weird smell that I experienced with other vest!So far no sand leaking either! We’ve been loving it! Ask great to note the weight is adjustable so you can work your way up to the 20lbs if needed! Also doesn’t rub my armpit when walking like other vest! Read more

Overall: The vest itself is pretty sturdy and it tightens up pretty close to my body, which is nice since I'm 5'4" 140lb woman. The weights came in a thick plastic bag and I read a few reviews about them leaking so I left them in the bags. There's no problem getting them in or out of the vest. Pros: -Obviously the cost. It's half the price of other vests in the same category and the seller was smart enough to use the "If it fits, it ships!" box to minimize the cost of shipping. -Weights are sand so they mold a little bit. This makes it easier to get them in and out of the pockets. -Similar to a military combat vest. I plan on using this on foot marches and the shape will keep me used to what I would be wearing in combat. Some people might put that in the cons but it's one of the reasons I purchased this model. - Easy to get on and off. Unfortunately it's not adjustable around the neck/ shoulders but it's a pretty big area to stick your head through. I can easily put it on with about 24lbs but when I have it fully loaded it's easier to lay it down and put it on that way so it doesn't smack me in the head. Cons: -Weights slide down my body when I get into a jog so it's not ideal for running/ jogging. -No padding around the neck/ shoulders so as soon as the weight slides down my body it starts to put a lot of pressure on my collar bones and shoulder. I was able to jog with it holding it up enough to relieve the pressure but it's not ideal. If you're looking to use this for running I would highly suggest putting a little more money into it and buying one with a lot of padding around the neck. Read more

This beastly exercise tool is exactly what it's described as being, a load-bearing vest loaded with what feels like a half-ton of lead birdshot. Because it adds so much weight to my everyday mass it turns such simple things like walking down the street or going up and down the Mississippi River levee right next to my house into a stiff power-and-endurance exercise. The one and only thing I don't like about it is the military camo job the fabric comes in. I'm a little antsy wearing this thing in public in the small town I live in because to the suspicious I might look like either a psycho wearing military body armor, or a psycho wearing some sort of terrorist explosive vest. I'm going to sew some highly reflective orange strips to it and maybe dye the vest a solid color. Yes, I know that sounds a little overboard, but considering three police officers got gunned down Sunday in my home town I don't want to give anybody any weird ideas. So, great product, solid and comfortable to wear even when carrying the whole 40 pounds. Seems like it will hold up for a very long time as well. And it turns even casual everyday movement into a resistance exercise, which is the entire point. Just, if you live around paranoid people, you might want to consider getting one in a different color or pattern. That's not really a criticism of the project because I knew what it would look like before I ordered it. Strictly speaking on the quality of the item, I'd have to rate that as very high. Not likely to bust any seams or fall apart anytime soon, from what I can tell. Read more

I was super hesitant about buying this vest, as it was quite expensive. However, it got great reviews and I thought I would give it a try. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It is made of a very sturdy and snag-free material. It is thick, waterproof, nylon that contains heavy-duty stitching. The vest is definitely on the bigger side, in general, but has plenty of ways in which it can be adjusted. The straps to secure the vest around the waist are very comfortable - they are wide and contain a thick piece of Velcro to keep the vest in place while working out. It has a water bottle holder on the side and headphone wire holder in the top. I opted for the 60lb vest, so it came with a variety of weights. I can tell that it is extremely well-made and will last me a long time. (I will come back and update my review if that doesn’t happen, but I doubt it will!) Only thing I would have loved is if the weights, that came with the vest, were marked. I would love to know how much each one is, so I know how much I am increasing every time I put a new one in the vest. Read more
