By comparison to the other "leather" repair kits for sale on Amazon, this one is bargain priced, so if you want to roll the dice and see if you can improve a rip or minor tear, it's probably worth it. One problem that others have noted is that it comes with a color blending chart but no directions even though the enclosed pamphlet says to "read the directions carefully." However, a quick YouTube search will help you figure out how to use these pastes. Probably intuition alone will do the trick. I had a PU leather club chair that had a defect in the "leather" and some spots were starting to peel away from the fabric that PU leather is attached. It was in a small but very noticeable area of the chair. A couple applications did cover the small area. The color match was not the problem. The problem is that this stuff dries to a very dull and somewhat rough feeling finish. So if you are trying to hide a piece of shiny leather, even if the color is a perfect match, you are going to see the difference where the repair was made. Since 99% of my chair was in good shape, I was willing to risk trying this rather than scraping the chair. I'm not certain if the repair will hold up -- that remains to be seen.
