Shipping was fast. Smell is actually very strong, make sure you have ventilation. Rack is a little tight for my 5-50lb weight set, one pair has to be split because they don’t fit on the same shelf safely. They get the job done though and I am very happy with my purchase. This is a pair of good solid weights. When I first ordered them I thought they were each 10 pounds, but it’s 10 pounds total, but that’s my fault for not reading it properly. Not a big deal though because I could use a new set of 5 pound weights as well. These are so much better than my vinyl coated ones, they are really good quality and solid construction. I love that they’re iron and have a knurled surface, making for a strong grip. They had a little bit of smell when I first opened them up, I think from the rubber, but that smell quickly dissipated once out of the box. I have bought hex head dumbells before. These ones had a really strong chemical odor when opened, much more than I've experienced in the past. This could just be because they are newly made and haven't sat as long. I bought these to replace the plastic covered 5 lb. dumb bells and I like these much better. These are nice looking dumbbells and are easy to hold. There are ridges of sort where you hold them, but it is comfortable on your hands. They look very well made and sturdy. Good size for me to use.
