It’s so refreshing to come across cables like these, inexpensive, function as they should and last. Going through a slew of cables on a regular basis I find so many that disappoint or just plain don’t work. What becomes infuriating is when even buying more expensive cables you run into the same thing. These cables offer a lot for the money. They have a heavy braided jacket that holds up to being tossed around, comes in multiple colors to add a splash of vibrancy, also making them easier to see and they are even supposed to have short protection. It’s clear they are not a high end cables though. The strain reliefs are fairly stiff which ultimately just makes an obnoxiously large connector. It will prevent broken cables at the connector, but lead to a broken connector if you strike the strain relief. They are stiff and have memory which is indicative of lower quality low strand count wire. This can become annoying if you want them to lay flat in a particular fashion because they won’t. Lower strand count wire also does not hold up to repeated flexing, which means these are not the best option for something like a game pad or headset. It’s a trade off, still everything I have charged with these, both QC and PD has functioned perfectly, iPhone 16 pro charged at 15v 2 amps, iPhone 17 pro at 20v 2 amps and even my laptop at 20v at a full 5 amps. Data throughput is lacking being roughly that of SuperSpeed USB 3.0 which is very slow at this point. Which is to be expected, no way at this price point are they producing thunderbolt 4 or 5 cables. My OWC ssd transferred at 538MB/s which is well below the 6000 MB/s it does with a certified cable, but honestly not too shabby for a cable in this price range, especially considering many cheap cables I’ve got in the past won’t do data at all. To their credit they are transparent about the speed also, which is refreshing when many claim high speed cables and they simply are not. If you are shopping for cables in this price range you can’t have it all. Personally, for a cheap charge cable, I’ll take having one that functions for all my charging needs over a nice floppy cable that has connection issues or high speed data cable that doesn’t charge properly, because at just a few bucks you can’t have it all.
