Overall, this is an excellent lighted mirror that is not only functional, but also enhances the ambience of my guest bathroom. I have a larger one by another brand in my master bathroom that I am extremely pleased with, and wasn’t sure how this one by Clarityon would compare. After installing and testing it though, I am impressed! Installation was fairly straightforward. I preferred having it hardwired and my husband was able to do this in a few simple steps (cut the plug and spliced the wires to connect it to an existing junction box). The mirror comes with mounting hardware and they did not cheap out! They include a French cleat mounting strip that has 3 anchor points - worked so well for our space (drywall and beams are in an awkward place so centering the mirror above the sink would’ve been a pain otherwise). When it comes to the mirror functionality, it has all of the features that you need and the product description is accurate so am not going to list that out. Instead, I want to highlight the features that really set this mirror apart: It saves your light settings! If you turn off the mirror using a switch or by short-pressing the on/off button, it will turn on with the light settings last used. This seems like such a small thing but honestly is a huge game changer for me. It has rounded/ beveled edges. I was kind of indifferent about how the corners looked at first, but now seeing it hung up , I feel like this subtle design choice makes the mirror look way more expensive than others. This LED mirror is better made than I expected and works exactly as described. The lighting is bright, even, and flattering for makeup or grooming, and the mirror itself is surprisingly lightweight and thin. Based on the box, I expected something bulkier, so that was a pleasant surprise. Installation was also easier than anticipated. It comes with a mounting bar you attach to the wall (three drill holes), and then the mirror hangs onto it. The mirror can be mounted vertically or horizontally, which is a nice option. It also plugs in rather than being battery-powered, which I prefer for consistent brightness. I also appreciated that it came with white gloves to help handle the mirror during installation without getting fingerprints all over it—a small but thoughtful touch. Interestingly, I was able to hang it using an existing setup from my previous mirror, though I’m not suggesting that as a recommendation—just noting that the mirror itself isn’t overly heavy or awkward to work with. The only real downside for me is that the lighting functions together. I don’t see a way to turn on just the front light or just the backlight independently. It’s a minor thing, but worth mentioning. Style-wise, the mirror leans very modern. It ended up feeling a bit too modern for my bathroom, but I plan to repurpose it in a bedroom makeup area where it fits better visually.
