This is such a cute, cozy friend for when you don't feel well. The fox itself is weighted, not just the heating pad, both in the feet and head. That means you can enjoy its weighted cuddle even with the heated pad removed. The fabric used is super soft, silky and cuddly, perfect for soothing an upset or sickly kiddo, and the stitching and construction seems quite strong and sturdy! While I wouldn't recommend roughhousing with it, I do expect it to last quite a long time. This is big! I saw the measurements but didn't really process just how large this plush actually is-- it is plenty large even for an adult. The pad inside isn't the largest, but it is still plenty large for its purpose, especially for kids. As a whole, it reminds me of the sheep cover on my hot-water bottle growing up. This will certainly soothe your kiddo. This comes packaged in a nicely printed cardboard box, but the printing on the box does not indicate what's inside, which may impact its giftability. I think the item would make a great gift, but you may need to help explain it when opened since the box doesn't explain it like it might if you purchased it off a shelf at the store. It's a big purple racoon...what's not to love. First its big...27" is just under 3 foot long so covers your entire chest area. Its well-made and super fluffy and soft. My GF loves it and hasn't put it down (I think she likes cuddling it more than me now). it came shipped in a cute box and inside a zipper bag inside to arrived safe and clean (it was not compressed so immediate hugging can occur. The bottom under the tail is a small zipper that when opened you can remove a bag of beads. This is where the weight it, the bag you toss in the microwave for 1-2 mins and it comes out hot and you have to stuff it back into the critter. I removed 1 star for this part - the zipper is just about exactly the size of the bag but the beads pool to one end creating a ball so getting it back in takes work (especially is someone doesn't want to put the thing down flat - and the bag is hot). Once bag inside you can hug the animal close and feel the warmth (its warm not hot due to the stuffing around the animal itself) - so not a heating pad just a warm stuffed animal. The bag is also fairly small given the size of the animal so only the belly area gets warm (would nicer if it was bigger and more area warmed up). All in all, my GF and daughter love. Its well-made and a good value for the money. As long as you aren't looking for a heating pad this is a great cuddle toy for a sick kid (or GF). Read more

And soft! This one has a bit of a wow factor with it being so big (tiny AA battery for scale). The size lends greatly to its huggable factor. It is very comforting to pick up and squeeze, and the material is high quality with well done stitching. The weight to it is also a really nice factor, my 8-year old son has no issues carrying it around, but it could be difficult for a toddler. We personally enjoy it though, the weight makes it feel more substantial. The heating process is my only complaint about this one. You have a heated bag of material that is stored in... well... the back of the animal? Heh. It isn't too hard to take out or heat in the microwave, but I occasionally have a hard time putting the bag back in. The opening feels a bit small and takes a bit to get the bag all the way in, a sight to behold I'm sure! And after you are successful, I tend to struggle with getting it zipped back up. But I suppose that part is good, since the zipper isn't too intrusive when you are holding/using it. Overall a fair price, given how big it is and when compared to other stuffed animals with similar features. I gave this to my 5 year old who has ADHD (and likely on the spectrum), as he is very sensory seeking. He also doesn't like being in his bed because he likes to be next to someone. This seemed like a ideal stuffy for him. It's definitely the heaviest stuffy we have. It's also quite large. But the size makes it very huggable and great to snuggle up with. His (the raccoon's) fur is very soft and plush. He is also very cute with a super squishable face. He's pretty floppy and easy for my kid to carry around. The heating/cooling element is a bag of what feels like beans or pvc beads that is inserted through a zippered opening under the tail. It can be a little tricky to get the bag back in, since there's not much wiggle room and the bag is obviously very floppy. Once you get it started, however, you can use gravity to wiggle it in pretty fast. We've heated the bag a few times now which helps make this guy even more cuddly, because not only is he heavy and soft, but also pleasantly warm. So far this is a very popular stuffy in our house. He is one of the biggest, and definitely the heaviest. My son's interests tend to shift pretty frequently so we'll see how long he stays attached to this. It's something he can come back to over time, at least, when he needs something to cuddle. Read more
