Installed this on a truck I don't drive often. Being able to disconnect the battery has been a very good thing. I don't lose all of my radio presets but I can live with that. Works really well I love using it, my battery is in my trunk under my spare tire so I think it make the distance not be to good for the key but works well and reacts right away, my battery like is still good doesn't take up much power it makes a small noise to let u know when it turns off or on. This crap got me stranded in the middle of the road. I bought this unit to keep my battery from dying. After being gone for 6 weeks, I turned the unit on and started my car. There was a low clicking sound coming from the unit. My car hesitated to start, but it fired up after two tries. After driving 4 miles, my dashboard and my radio started flickering for a few seconds until my car finally died in the middle of a busy road. I could not even turn on my hazard lights. A few guys helped me push my car to the side, and I was able to remove this junk from it. Right after that, my car fired up without any issues. Sadly, I can no longer return this crap. I tried two other products like this, but they did not work. I have a parasitic electrical bleed in my luxury 2004 Lincoln Town Car. I took it to the shop and was quoted approximately 5,000 dollars for labor and rewiring. At the local (*) Irestone shop. I put this product in. No more dead battery. It takes two key fobs—one to activate the relay at the battery, and then the regular key fob. I have been using it all winter so far with no problems. Easy to install. Read more

Too soon to comment on the durability, but it works well and has a current rating higher than competitive units, but... it's very tall. Designed to mount on top of your battery, on my truck this prevented hood from closing. Had to make some short cables so they could be relocated. Read more
