I love these cameras
I have wanted a camera to do this for years. We live on the corner of a busy main street and a quiet side street. A little over a year ago, we had a problem with cars parking across the street and people coming up to the driver and then leaving after less than a minute. We were not sure what was going on but I wanted to get some pictures of it. I tried to put a regular security camera in the window but all I ever got was reflections of the inside of my house. These cameras fix the problem. They come with a variety of "stickers" to place on the glass. The stickers have a magnet ring that the lens of the camera sticks to. This makes it really easy to mount the camera and very hard to notice from outside. It took only minutes to install the sticker and mount the camera to the window. Also, setting up the camera with app was really quick and easy. The app has great step-by-step instructions and I had the camera installed in a couple of minutes. There are a couple of things to know before mounting the camera if you have sash windows. It works best when is is not pointed through both the sash and the storm window. The distance between the sash and the storm window is about two inches and this causes a reflection no matter what you do. I expected that because, you know... physics. But what this camera does when not going through a storm window is amazing. The picture is clear and a wide enough angle to get a great view regardless of whether the camera is mounted on the top or the bottom of the sash. Since storm windows are used in the winter, I put the camera on the top section in winter. The kit comes with lots of stickers so I put one on the lower half to use in the summer when the storm window is up. The only other thing is at night with the lights on inside we got a reflection of the inside. This is not a problem because we close the blinds at night and there is no reflection. So, this works great with single or double pane windows as long as you avoid the storm window side, and don't have the lights on and blinds up at night (which would let everyone see in and I could see out, so... not gonna happen). The pictures are super clear and I can see a very wide area. I can cover the entire fence across the street and record anyone who is parking there and doing, who knows what. I was especially surprised at the quality of the night pictures. It looks as if the entire picture is lit up with powerful spotlights and it is in full color. In fact, there is no street light and it's nearly pitch black outside. I set it to capture motion so it will only record when something is moving. Once I got a recording it was easy to save a snapshot and download to my phone. Read more
