I've been on the hunt for the perfect sling bag for my 3rd Camino and I think I've found it! First of all water resistant fabric and zippers on the front & main compartment. The back zipper closest to your body is not water resistant. The front zip pocket will hold a large iphone or passport but not the Camino credential (the back one will, even when in a baggie). There is also a zippered pocket on the inside to secure a travel wallet along with a divided stretch pocket in the main compartment. Beautiful bright liner, strong adjustable straps and not overly big but will hold all your essentials, sunglasses included, 2 places to attach small carabiner clips, detachable retractible key chain. They thought of everything! Love the black plaid fabric. The size is perfect for me a 5'6" female, not too big or small (the bag that is). I like that when you have a sling bag as opposed to a waist bag you don't have to remove it to go to the bathroom (TMI I know) but is important if you want to keep track of your valuables especially on the Camino. This is probably the best sling/fanny pack I’ve found, and I have tried several. I am disabled and an ambulatory wheelchair user,, so I usually have a backpack when I am out with my chair, but if I need to use my cane or rollator, I just use a fanny pack instead so my hands remain free. This pack is amazing. It has RFID to keep your cards safe. The zippers can be secured on the side of the pack; there is a clip to lock them so they can’t be opened. There is a hidden back compartment that can be used to keep valuable items secure as well. On the large main compartment, there are some inner areas to help with organization, which is a thoughtful addition and something I really appreciate since I carry sunscreen, lotion and a lip balm at all times as well as my inhaler, so these things are kept organized and easy to reach immediately in that area. The front compartment has a key ring, and this compartment is really my only complaint; I love the actual key ring, but the compartment itself is rather shallow, which makes it difficult if you have something larger on your key ring. The included clip that extends is genius! But I carry both a fob for my car as well as the keyring device that arms my home security system; I carry the latter mostly because it also has a panic alarm on it that connects with my security service, which is essential for someone with my medical needs. These two things in addition to my house keys makes my keys a bit bulky. There’s nothing additional or unnecessary on there; they are just bulky, and the front pocket with the placement of the clip makes it difficult to fit the keys in there. I think the only real way this might be improved is by maybe putting the attachment for the keys onto the side of that front pocket instead of on the top. Other than this, I have zero complaints about the bag, and even the front pocket isn’t enough to take a star off my rating. Honestly, if I could still rate it higher than five stars I would. This is an amazing fanny pack. If you have been searching for a bag that will be rugged but low profile and still look good, this is the one to get. Oh, one thing to add…if you are very thin this may not work to be worn around your waist/hips. I’m very petite and thin and even at the smallest adjustment this is still too large for my waist. Luckily, I tend to wear bags like this crossbody on either my chest or back, so that doesn’t matter for me, but it’s something to keep in mind if you want this as a true fanny pack. Read more
I have been searching for the perfect waist pouch to add to my backpacking gear, and this one exceeded all of my expectations. The material is water resistant and the zippers are protected with a plastic layer, which is a great feature when you are out on the trail. When worn around the waist, the pouch opens very wide, making it easy to see and access everything inside. The bright yellow interior lining also helps with visibility so you are not digging around trying to find things. Inside there are two mesh pockets that are perfect for organizing my trail essentials. There is also an internal zippered pocket where I keep my pens, paper clips, and a small waterproof notepad. On the exterior front pouch there is a retractable carabiner, which I use to attach my small flashlight. I also keep my emergency blanket in that same pocket for quick access. There is another hidden pocket that sits against your waist, and it is the perfect size for my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The adjustable waist strap is extremely long and very good quality. It allows you to wear the pouch around your waist or crossbody style, and the length makes it comfortable no matter your size. The outside of the pouch also has two attachment straps where you can secure additional items, plus a small exterior carabiner where I attach my outdoor cloth on a retractable so I can grab it quickly whenever I need it on the trail. The only thing I might upgrade are the zipper pulls. They feel a little lower quality compared to the rest of the bag, so I may swap them out for ones that offer a better grip. Overall, this waist pouch is exactly what I have been looking for. I am extremely happy with it and will likely buy a second one as a backup. Read more
This sling bag is of much higher quality than the typical bag I've found. It has ample storage space divided into several different pockets as well as some thoughtful extra features. The main compartment has two mesh sections for keeping small items and one zippered pocket. On the front of the bag is a zippered pocket that holds the extendable keychain attachment. Finally, on the back is a mostly hidden zippered pocket. All of the inner linings have an appealing bright yellow color. The outer material is made of a scratch and water-resistant material that is soft and comfortable to wear. It looks sleek and nondescript. The locking clip is simple to use once you know how it works. It hooks around the second zipper casing to keep both zippers from moving. I think the price is completely fair-it's slightly higher than a random sling bag, but it's also better made. Thanks to numerous flexible pockets and the additional features, I think this would be a great sling bag for traveling. Read more
